  1. 'A supremely readable biography.... the Staffords tell their story with accuracy and significant wit and it's shot through with larger-than-life characters' Classic Rock, 8/10 New condition hardback with dustcover. RRP £20. Yours for £8 plus postage at cost.
  2. I believed that until I heard the recordings on the box set. I have revised my opinion…
  3. Man: Back Into the Future, Live at the Paget Rooms Penarth, Maximum Darkness, 1999 Party Tour, Star Club, Live Glastonbury 1994. I could go on😂
  4. This belonged to the late @yorks5stringer and is being sold on behalf of his family. I will add details as I find them. It includes the case pictured, as well as the newer gig bag. Keith: There's a bit of a story to that. I bought it with 2 humbuckers installed (and a load of other player mods that were non- standard) as you can see below. I returned it to stock but as it had had a big hole routed out in front of the bridge for the pickup, it was filled with wood, and primed. I then did a light couple of coats of aged vintage white nitro which was a bit more yellow than the original white ( which was also nitro so must have been a respray too.) Found this which shows the original condition.
  5. That’s jazz!😂
  6. Like Morecambe and Wise… I knew all the jokes but not necessarily in the right order! 😂
  7. New hardback biography of the late great Gary Moore. With 464 pages and illustrated, this is the last word on the legend. Author Power has written about Beck and Page, among others, and has not only researched well but keeps the story bubbling - White Knuckles pulls no punches! Not in bookshops till next week. Retails at £25, yours for only £12 plus postage. Be quick!

  10. I shall be watching… unbelievably for the first time! Anyone else a Tap ‘virgin’?!😁
  11. Who are you calling elephant ears!?😁
  12. Played a mini pub festival in Barton on Sea, Hampshire. Country-themed, hence the hay bales, but we blagged ourselves in as blues/Americana. Forgot my Stetson but went walkabout with my wireless so it would probably have blown/fallen off! Elf and two Barefaced One10s more than adequate… I bring the second out once a year! It’s possibly the only time I have ever had a view of the Isle of Wight from the stage. (Pic taken while setting up). What could be better? Oh, and our dep drummer breezed it. Happy days!
  13. Chunky new 400-page book listing more than 500 fascinating flip sides that will have you glued to YouTube for days. ‘Truly fascinating…a parallel history of pop itself.’ Pete Paphides Don’t be fooled by ‘pop’. Subjects range from the Jesus and Mary Chain via Donna Summer, Blur and ELP to Black Sabbath. New and unread copy £12 posted to UK … Now £5
  14. Are you a Stone Roses or Guns n’Roses tribute?
  15. I have to say there are some pretty weird Proms this year. Why?! Just why?
  16. What does Nils Lofgren wear, i wonder? 😈
  17. Good choices, Pete. As it happens, I was at a wedding yesterday where the Springsteen song lyrics was a major part of the bride’s father’s speech! God Only Knows always brings a lump to my throat as I recall playing it live a few weeks before my first wife died. Lyrics with such depth…
  18. You play with a smile on your face. That is a good look, one I strive to emulate!
  19. First dep in 12 years deserves a tip of the hat!👏
  20. Sad story, Pete. Got into BR in 1973 when Takin My Time was found in an LP bargain bin. Was equally taken by Freebo, who currently plays with Alice Howe and is a fretless player to note.
  21. I was lucky enough to attend that, at Stoke Newington Town Hall circa 2014. Wondered when they’d repeat. Great band, and Hutch the bass player is no slouch.
  22. I have played this, and can’t quite believe @knicknack is parting with it!!!
