    My band in 1979 learned Can’t Stand Losing You after I bought it for 25p in Woolies. Fitted our pop-reggae set well. Then the Police reissued it, it hit and we dropped it. Months later we played with Furniture (Brilliant Minds hitmakers) at the Moonlight Club and got an unexpected encore. Put it back into the set and brought the house down… Furniture were b@stards, served em right😈

    Not on… Remember interviewing Andy Summers after his intro to Every Breath You Take was sampled for a rap No 1, and Sting copped the royalties. “Get yourself a good lawyer” was his advice.

    I have got 90 per cent of my bands gigs, came up with the name and supply the PA. Yet I bend over backwards to give everyone an equal say. I thought I was okay with that, but have just joined a second band where all I do is turn up, play and obey what the BL says… BTW Keith (post two above), they never deserved you!

    I have discovered that Nigel isn’t at all well. He fell, broke a few ribs and punctured a lung back around October and has since been in and out of hospital. He is back in at the moment. Nigel has been a stalwart of this board for many years and interacted with many of us. Please keep him in your thoughts. Edit: Updated with funeral arrangements
