  1. Duke Fakir I’ll Be There - My Life with the Four Tops. Hardback, perfect condition. £8 including UK postage.
  2. Don’t be fooled by the photo … this is far from the obvious. It’s the best and most entertaining Fleetwood Mac book I have read! Now it’s your turn. As new hardback - £22 cover price, was £15 now reduced to £12 posted. A great story, told well with plenty of first person interview material.
  3. Micky Moody (Whitesnake) Playing With Trumpets (rare 2006 hardback) Snakes and Ladders (2016 paperback, later years) Both books, UK postage included, £15
  4. I listened to ‘Little Nicky’ more than Freeman and (whisper) Peel! Glad he is still alive and kicking (even if the others arent!) I do a similar thing with U3a groups and the like, having made a living interviewing the famous. One of my talks is called ‘Dolly, Daltrey, Geldof…and Me’!
  5. What a fantastic idea! Let us know how it goes…or doesn’t!
  6. And again - repeated with no hassles whatsoever. 🙏
  7. The James Oliver Band with Norman Watt Roy. It’s half time at the moment and we have already had our money’s worth! Mickey, News at Ten, Emsworth, with @Chimike PS Norm needs to catch the 10.50 from Havant…
  8. Off topic maybe, but I got into VM through the 1974 Whistle Test TV broadcast of Its Too Late To Stop Now. None of the dozen gigs I saw live could hold a candle to it, and I still rate the album in my Top 5 live recordings ever…
  9. Frankly, being a fan of both, I think thats a bit verbose for Van!
  10. You are spot on. I believe it may be 2011. I prefer the slightly bigger body, being a big bloke, but its not all that different. I envy your blocks though!
  11. I have similar, with the larger Precision style body.
  12. Where did you spot this beauty?
  13. The man is a gentleman, scholar and genius. Rescued my Guild, owned for 35 years, from the scrapheap… many thanks, my friend!
  14. I get conflicted, not wanting to trust my ears. Both my fretless are unlined, and my eyes aren’t drawn to the fretboard. Besides, it looks way cooler…
  15. She can lift the same weight as you (weigh)…🏋️‍♀️ Don't mind me, I’m re-starting my diet!
  16. That could be read one of two ways!
  17. It should give you a warm glow…😂
  18. I’ve played with a couple that could leave the personal stuff at the door.. and one that couldn’t.
  19. Are genre-specific names a help or a hindrance? My outfit is the Otis Jay Blues Band. Would dropping the Blues get us more gigs? Or is it a statement of commitment?
  20. Winos are never off the piste… 🍷
  21. That’s why they need music stands!😂
  22. My band has been going three years, in which time we have done 50 gigs and used 16 people. As a blues band we seemed to cope well. Until November just gone, I was the only person never to have been depped. I lined up a replacement but despite six months notice he cried off with a family commitment. The others lined up someone equally good who then got hospitalised. The third choice was apparently awful. I returned, and after one gig the singer and the drummer both quit. Not sure what this proves… answers on a postcard!
  23. No, but I’m in one! Happy Christmas 🌲
  24. I like Camel too. But I just think Sinclair was at his peak with the Hatfields. And having interviewed him for a sleeve note it’s fascinating he felt inferior to the other three musicians. Evidence that it’s always good to be in a band where everyone is supposedly better than you!
  25. Have you tried Hatfield and the North for RS? I know he was also in Caravan but H&TN are my fav!
