  1. A friend of mine’s kid was in a band auditioned for BGT. They declined to sign their careers away... so didn’t appear.
  2. Are you ready, Steve?
  3. Thats a magnificent poodle perm... Envious!
  4. Actually saw Tex playing with SB&Q at the Rainbow, double-headlining with Brinsley Schwarz. Great gig! Does that count as infidelity?😁

    MB1 Feedback

MB1 bought books from me in a hassle-free transaction. Top man!
  6. As I turn 65 today (gulp), I thought I would weigh in... People like me - ‘white, male and stale’ - have had their day in today’s society. I welcome diversity, but also accept that reality. BC is one place I still feel relevant. I know David, the OP, and he isn’t a negative person. He does have opinions, as do we all, and it would be a shame if he, I or anyone else could not express them here without reservation. ☮️
  7. Was that a band called fiddle-Lee diddle-Lee? Just asking 😁
  8. That one has McCartney on drums! This is an R&B cover, but more sterling Gerald J bass work...
  9. The very excellent Gerald Johnson. I nearly filled in for him at a soundcheck in the Hammy Odeon circa 1983 when he was stuck in traffic. Sadly he is a lefty so I didn’t offer my services...
  10. He might have been joking...😷
  11. New publication £6 post inclusive Status Quo Special -114 pages RRP £8.49 This Quo-only special edition features brilliant writing on their greatest albums, expert guides to their most collectable records – from the most sought-after picture sleeves to worldwide rarities, a comprehensive UK discography, fantastic features on everything from their psych beginnings to their formative influences to their unlikely feature film, as well as profiles of each of the Frantic Four. Elsewhere, we discover the astonishing range of Quo memorabilia that’s emerged over the years – kept hold of that crisp packet from 1975? You’re in luck! – and go through the keyhole to check out the collections of some dedicated Quo fans. And then there are classic features from the Record Collector archive, we hear the story of how that classic logo came about, and are told the tale of what happened when an RC writer was put on the somewhat sozzled train for the band’s 25th birthday trip to Butlin’s!
  12. Jimmy Dewar of Robin Trower fame had one as a spare... never saw pic of him playing it.

  14. My listening tonight https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p08rs7y8
  15. Got it from the venue. I saw BX with Collins, at the Marquee, Years ago. But Percy is the only reason I would want to see then again.
  16. Yeah, but when I bought my ticket Percy was in the band. Can I get a refund?😷
  17. I bought my ticket on the basis (pun intended) of Percy. Without any originals - Goodsall staying in the US - I feel a bit put out.
  18. You could call yourself Dr Don’tfeeltoogood😉
  19. Nuff already!😲
  20. Dammit! I had a ticket.... Not that it means much😬
  21. I thought my last bottle of Tesco Taste The Difference white tasted...different 😧
  22. Mojo and Classic Rock seem so predictable, rehashing the same old staples. I do feel Record Collector try harder, largely cos they have a stuffy/nerdy image to counteract. Disclosure: I do half a dozen reviews a year for them.
  23. John helped me out with a speaker problem. Put himself out when he had no need to. Thanks, mate!
