1. Need hardly add Tredders is a gent and a top seller... GLWTS mate!
2. An alternative to Absolute is North Road Music Centre on the outskirts of Poole. The clientele is probably more in tune with her tastes. Absolute has tuition in the days and bands at night which tend to be older.
3. The scene is dominated by the weekly Stan's Blues Jams. If you don't like blues (or aren't one of the clique, which is why I gave up on em) then there's not much else bar the open mikes.
4. More photos!
5. Top buyer - absolutely first class and recommended.
6. One more time for a classic! About to advertise elsewhere, so shout if you have an offer for me.
7. Bump for all the amps and effects anyone could sensibly need!
8. If any problems with image hoster, please PM me for pics...
9. NOW SOLD. MarkBass MultiAmp. Asking £650 firm, including footswitch (£229 on its own new). Mono version of the acclaimed MultiAmp, one of the best and most intuitive-to-operate modelling amps available - an “All in One” head and effects rack allowing the bassist to create pretty much any sound/feel on the fly, on stage or in the studio. The power amplifier offers the same output as all the standard MB Combo amps, 300w at 8 Ohm and 500w at 4 Ohm. And these are loud watts… Three amp models, “Solid State”, “Tube” and “Vintage”, offer a selection of sounds from the expected MarkBass through Trace Elliot, Ampeg and Orange to Fender Bassman at the push of a button. You can then add effects like Drive, Chorus, Flanger, Phase, Reverb, Delay and even MB’s own Super Synth and Compressore. Last but not least is cab simulation, which will occupy the last of the eight ‘slots’ on the visual screen if required. Operation is super-intuitive, and there are videos online to further guide you as well as threads on here and a Facebook group. You can save your settings onto an SD card (provided) and/or switch between them at will using the MIDI footswitch. Otherwise there are a number of preset combinations to experiment with and/or modify. Build quality is exactly what you would expect from Markbass. Condition is very good; a couple of underneath scratches from rack mounting (ears are included) are the main signs of use. This has been looked after and will find a ready home. Based Bournemouth. 11. Bastards! Good luck to you...there but for the grace of god go most of us.
12. Dare I mention my EB-3L is up for sale at this very moment? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/308673-gibson-eb-3l-slothead-196970/page__pid__3335482#entry3335482 😀
13. After five wonderful years, it's time to let someone else have the of satisfaction of owning this much-played, well-loved classic that's about to celebrate its 50th birthday. http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1941264 I'm linking to the original sale thread while I get some of my own photos done, but to be fair they are unlikely to be as good as Jules from Fly Guitars (the original seller). His 2012 post also gives the background history, and as he is the absolute expert on Gibson basses I can only defer to him. I can add that this EB-3L (L for long scale) looks just as it did then, but has since been professionally set up, equipped with suitable flatwounds and has a beautiful fitted case. I have also sourced a replacement knob for the one with a chunk out; the original is also included. If it's mojo you're after, this has the Andy Fraser vibe in spades. It's ultra-light in weight, belying its sheer blues power. Probably gigged it three or four times, otherwise home play only - but the dropping jaws of fellow bass players when they catch sight of it has been worth the purchase price alone! Looking for £1200, no trades thanks.
14. Bump. This is pitched one octave below guitar rather than two, so can add a different flavour to your uke bass arsenal with partial chords etc - think Bass VI.
15. How many times pro bands I know have come off stage unhappy, yet the fans are delighted... Not sure what it means. Maybe they arent their own best judges.
16. Traded with Lee and he is a first class character! No more to say...
17. The flatwound- strung bass uke I am currently selling did the job for me. Small, felt like a bass under your fingers and can be heard acoustically.
