1. Ah, Christchurch - the only place I've ever eaten breakfast in a shipping container! And welcome Mark...

3. Was that a yolk, Keith?😀
4. If you've ever lost a partner you realise how important it is to live every day to the full. I feel guilty if I don't. And as I have a gig tonight I will be having a specially good day. You only get one life...

8. Sorry, that does absolutely nothing for me. Give me the pre-CBS ironing board... but each to their own!
9. What the eck is a Howlett? Since you converted me i am on my third Ukebass...an Ashbury with metal stri ngs.

14. Pointless fact: he used to work for Lloyds Bank!
15. Picked up a Barefaced Super Compact this week thanks to a kindly tipoff on this forum. I intend using this on its own as a more compact replacement for the MarkBass CMD102P that has served me well for several years (if you want to know the truth, it won't quite fit in the boot of our new car...d'oh!). So what do I need to get the best out of my sparkly new speaker? My two projects are: (1) classic rock four-piece including keyboards; I use a Jazz for this. (2) Motown/blues trio, for which I use a Precision and do a lot more bottom-end playing. Any steers as to power and make of potential amp acquisitions, plus reasoning for an ignoramus like me, are welcomed!
16. I hated playing without a drummer in the bluegrass quintet I was briefly with. Unless someone else is a rhythm player you're swimming against the tide.
17. UB40 technically covered a reggae version by Tony Tribe, Jack. Can't recall the orig either but Diamond plays it reggae style now while counting his royalties
18.
He's played for lots of people, including Nick Heyward...
Theres a Top of the Pops where the pair appear together - curiously, no band. Whistle Down The Wind, as I recall.
19. Seen one at 299 in a shop. Was described to me as Fender MIM build standard, but admittedly i didnt try it myself.
20. Ed Sheeran is the new Nick Heyward, then!
21. Bass uke?
22. For the price it is hard to beat but i have found the Countryman a pleasanter instrument, albeit at a greater cost.
