  1. At least tell us who your band is!🙏 At a guess… DEL Amitri?
  2. Seeing them at Poole on Tuesday!
  3. They will come crawling back! I had a similar situation re BL wife calling the shots and drew my line in the sand. Bad feeling was never far from the surface but they needed me.
  4. I remember seeing the unknown Darkness supporting Def Leppard. Couldn’t work out if they were a proper group or a Bad News type pisstake. Come to that, I still can’t…😂
  5. I met one of our number today, PAJ Hartley, who is playing the Festival with Steve Young. Wonder how many chatters are there/participating?
  6. Bought a book from me. Deal was sweet as a nut - recommend this Basschatter!
  7. My second deal with this fella was as seamless as the first! Top man.
  8. Geezer Butler - Into the Void (hardback, cover price £25) in close to mint condition - £10 plus £2.50 contribution towards postage. It’s a very intelligently written book by the real brains of the band - the bassist of course - told in an authentic voice. No ghost writing here. I enjoyed it, chances are you will too.
  9. Used to be (and hopefully still is) a good venue. Glad they are putting on an originals band! Have fun.
  10. Fair point. Apparently Spandau Ballet found ‘packaging deductions’ applied to their downloads by the record co! I wouldn’t say the music business as it was worked in favour of musicians, but at least the record companies promoted their acts. Spotify to me is a bit like the venue that wants bands to play cheap/free ‘for the exposure’.
  11. Why is there this expectation of a continuing royalty/percentile? Because without the creators music would not exist for Spotify to profit off the back of. I see the aforementioned Mr Ek made another $118.8 million selling some of his shares in April. Wonder if he can write a song?😂
  12. The median estimated compensation for executives at Spotify including base salary and bonus is $240,842, or $115 per hour. At Spotify, the most compensated executive makes $450,000, annually, and the lowest compensated makes $53,000. Estimated salaries. GIVE THE MUSICIANS A FAIR SHARE!!
  13. Its all the money being made by others (the non musicians/composers) in the streaming process that I object to. Unfair shares…
