1. Here's my DMZ4001. Nearest thing to an active bass I've ever played...and it's passive! Sadly, have to say goodbye to it shortly, if anyone's after a prime 1979 example. 2. That is impressive - and judging by what my cousin says well deserved.
3. My cousin is a major fan and will be there. But I wonder, and no disrespect intended, how many you will get through the doors at a crisp twenty a time? With travel to central London it would be 35 plus drinks for me...
4. According to John peels manager FGTH did a version of 2T for a session before it was released commercially that sounded just like the record. Go figure...
5. Had an older version of this and it was a sound to die for! Bump....
6. I bought one for £280. Traded it for a rotten 5-string. Mistake!
7. Danny offered me outside once for an (imagined) sin of mine - and he's 18 years older than me! So I shall be steering well clear
8. Beware the Electric Guitar source Book at same price - 90 pc of pics are b/w to fund an enclosed DVD... Not as good a deal as it seems.
9. Hermit of Mink Hollow = genius. Much of the rest = overproduced dross. IMO of course!
10. Yeah, a nice tribute although fairly cheaply done - Ian Paice was the only musician (apart from RW) involved. I was at the gig where Don Airey took over - quite a moment when the lights went down and they changed places... Shame it wasnt advertised a bit more widely - thanks OP for letting us know. M
11. Just seen them at wembley and go along with Lozbass - there was just not enough of him in the mix and the Jag didn't really impose itself. On the whole, though, what a show - and the sep US drummer standing in for Zak Starkey was flawless. Vintage Trouble were odd. For the first half of their first half-hour I thought they were a piss-take. Mind you, last support band I thought that about was the Darkness!
12. Lord the drummer thinks he's Bowie. I'm boycotting my licence fee!
13. I had one like Eric's. A great posing bass! But I find EB-3 more comfy
14. Straining to hear any bass on my Travelodge telly
15. Traded a bass with Julian. A fine man to do business with.
16. Was that not Gary Valentine? If so I agree. But they all fell out with Glenn and Don...er Chris and Debbie.
