1. iv had loads of mics over the years both live and for home recording, akg sennheiser shure audio technica se etc but recently got a shure sm7b and that really is all i need, it sounds awesome for vocal(gives great presence in the mix), guitars (distorted and clean) it is especially nice on bass. every time i pick up one of my other mics i end up swapping it back for the shure.
2. Paul s I would agree although the classic 450 and the rh450 sound very different to the 750 in my opinion
3. Have you looked at Ead cabs and nearly forgot about tecamp but they are a bit pricey
4. Barefaced super 12t sounds massive with the rh750 and weighs 19kg
5.
Barefaced Super12 with a tweeter? Mmmm... I had been considering a cab change too!
Do it, you know you want to.
6. I dont care what the specs on paper are when it sounds this good, iv had mine for a while now and it does everything i need and more, the compression works very well, there are plenty of lows (it doesnt sound cut off at 100hz to me but there could be some technical witchcraft in play there) there is plenty of top end too, a must for my bass sound and its epic in volume through my barefaced s12t. I like it loud and i have never need to push it beyond about 10 oclock on the master even without pa support
7. many thanks for the replys, i wasnt aweare of RMC, it loooks cool im going to ask anthony at xylem if he has used either of the systems before i think. also i didnt realise you could have midi options too, oh the possibilities! although i dont know if i would use use midi live, im a bit of and old school rock/metal type, with simple needs. choices choices, iv got some thinkin to do. thanks again!

11. has anyone tried one? Im thinking of having one on my xylem custom bass Any knowledge on the matter or opinions would be greatly appreciated, cheers!
12. i dont know about cheap but cool but this one is cheap and a bit pathetic especially considering how big they were at the time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dzSEenqc3w Ha !! steve harris on a tractor and dave murray stood in a stream, classic!
13. RE: hardware, the alesis i/o is great for the money but if you can stretch to it the Roland Quad capture is fantastic value for money, 96khz recording digital i/o and a pair of excellent quality preamps, in my opion nothing else comes close for the price.
14. +1 for reaper and ezdrummer its a classic combo
15. depends on the driver, the original ones were loaded with the epic bagend driver, these were replaced with a custom eminence at some point which doesnt go as low or as high
16. easier to pickup, just as hard to master and very different.
17. 4 is enough for damn near anything, in my opinion.
18. great question, i too would be very interested.
19. thats because of the Q of the eq curves
20. youve got me thinkin now..................2x tc rh750's 2x super 12's and 2 compacts!!!
