1. Would you be willing to hold on to this for a couple of weeks? I will be paid then and will pay for it!
2. Thanks for all the feedback guys! So from what I've gathered, it would be beneficial to sit down with a metronome at slow speeds and work on scales or the components used to create walking bass lines? Is it better to divide my time up into slots and try working on different things throughout that hour, or is it better to jam over the top of a track? Again thanks for the help
3. I don't quite understand! What are we bypassing? Could you link me up to some examples or the parts? Thanks for the advice so far!
4. I have at least an hour of free time to practice every day and was wondering what I should start to practice? My bass playing has begun to degenerate rapidly of late and would like to bring it up to another level Here is my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/topcat3355 What would you folks out there to to help my playing develop? Cheers
5. That sound interesting! How does the studio switch work?
6. So I fitted an EMG J set to my bass last year, and this year I'll be adding a BTC control. I'll have a spare POT where the old tone dial was, but would have no use for it. Would it be possible to use it as a master volume alongside the individual pickup volumes? So on the bass would be: -1 neck pup volume control -1 bridge volume control -1 BTC control -1 master volume Cheers people
7. There's a pre-amp on ebay for about £15... A guy on youtube showed a demo of them on a cheaper bass, and was wondering if it would be worth the investment? Here's a link to the pre-amp and the youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QYV1-yXkC8 2 band eq preamp circuit for Active bass Pickup
8. Looking to get some work experience before going into the industry! http://www.facebook.com/tomchandlerbass
9. Also, where would I get a replacement? I'm finding it difficult to find a nut of the same type!
10. Well here's the nut that I have currently. I think it is a bit low to the first fret, I might order a replacement otherwise I might shim the neck http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.376452542445224.88963.100002414453634&type=1&l=ed8065d1a7
11. Oh I understand. I think what I'm trying to get at is that there is a lot of neck relief, and I can't reduce the relief without getting fretbuzz due to the low action
12. No it hasn't, I've already checked that. However I did notice that the nut was VERY low
13. I'm trying to get the action lower but it doesn't work
14. Ohh and I don't like the tuning pegs I'm using at the moment either!
15. My bass has decided that if I straighten the neck, even with the bridge all the way up, there will be MILLIONZ fretbuzz! I have noticed that the nut is very low to the fretboard, so should I just replace that instead? It's not a standard nut, it's a bit like this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31S9FgVHw5L._SL500_AA300_.jpg Thoughts?
16. Sorry this went about 3 days ago! Sorry for any inconvenience! :/
17. Bump! Open to trades
18. Selling my bass amp because I really need some money at the time being. It's in mint condition in a black rat 4u flight case. Few scratches on the case but is all solid and working like a dream! Amp on GAK is £189 and I paid £60 for the flight case originally. Since the case has a few scuffs I think £120 is fair. I'm based in Redditch (Near Birmingham) so let me know if you're interested!
19. Bump! Up for sale £100
20. Would you be interested in swapping the cab for a 4 string Jay Turser? Can throw in a gig bag
21. Bump! Now up for sale on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170893870916?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
22. Would you swap this for a Jay Turser P Bass? Got pics on here http://basschat.co.uk/topic/181957-jay-turser-4-string-p-bass-for-trade-only/page__fromsearch__1
23. I'd like to learn cello quite a lot, so I'm looking to swap my P bass for a cello, preferably full size! Good condition other than a few dinks off the previous owner! It's not quite sunburst! The outer edges are like a mid-dark maroon. It has a lovely action and sounds good too Here are a few samples: http://soundcloud.co...y-turser-tone-0 http://soundcloud.co...turser-tone-100
