  1. Is this still up for sale? Are you up for swapping it?
  2. I'm looking to get a good bass cab preferably under £500 that hits that 30Hz (I've heard the arguments for using EQ to reduce power consumption etc) and was thinking about combining this HARTKE cab: http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Hartke-Hydrive-115-Bass-Cabinet/9VV With a pair of 10's? probably the swr goliath series
  3. I have a 5 string j-bass and the electronics or on the fritz. Beyond repair too. I'm thinking of finding a new set of pickups and electronics to replace the old set, but not too expensive. I'm after some that are flat sounding so that I can get the tone that I like out of them without too much hassle. I'm getting a really good guitar shop to fit them for me, any recommendations? Thanks
  4. It's gone sorry it wasn't up long
  5. http://a1.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/38/344ac23a6bad1e7a9ed535e3cd1a61f0/l.jpg As an EXAMPLE of what the cab looks like as the cab is currently inside a music school for storage!
  6. Oh and Pictures will be up shortly!
  7. A rather nice bass amp from the old school! 2x15" so it's a bit of a monster, and runs at 200w rms Can deliver if it's within a short distance, am based in Redditch (next to Birmingham)! It has been repaired where one castor was damaged and it easily giggable again If you're interested call me on 07587 199 004
  8. Well, I'm not looking to spend too much because I'm a student so I might have to think about building a cab. Eminence sell a 10's and you can get a pair for £96 in the link below which would match up to my head nicely. Is it a good idea to to get them if I know a person who has built several of bass cabs? http://www.lean-business.co.uk/eshop/eminence-legend-bp102-4ohm-10-200watt-bass-guitar-speaker-p-867.html
  9. Basically I used to play a 5 string bass until I realised how hard it is to get the b-string to be loud and clear. Since then I've swapped to a 4 string p-bass and was wondering what I should go for if I want a rumbly yet punchy bass cab? The head I'm using is a line 6 Lowdown HD400, and I'm thinking of using a 15" bass cab and a 2x10" on top both at 8 Ohms? Or is there a type of cab that any of you can recommend? Thanks
  10. A pedal which I replaced when I got a new head which had synth effects built into it, rendering it useless. It's RRP I's about £70 I think, and it's in good condition with the original box and papers. I'm looking for about £40 for it but am Open to offers [attachment=97908:327738_215303398560140_100002414453634_455481_1391477280_o.jpg] [attachment=97908:327738_215303398560140_100002414453634_455481_1391477280_o.jpg] [attachment=97909:322892_215303205226826_100002414453634_455480_473332282_o.jpg]
  11. Basically, I've gotten all the screws and nuts off the thing and it still won't open! I've peeled all the sticky bits off and it's still having none of it, ideas?
  12. well, the bridge pickup isn't really picking up much low end! I would replace it with another j-bass pickup but they seem to cost more than soapbar ones. I'm in a band and the drummer owes me a favour, so I was going to get an upgrade on the standard one
  13. I have a 5 string J-Bass guitar, and I was thinking of replacing the bridge pickup. However I'm not sure whether the idea I've got would work, or whether it would be worth it. I have found a passive pickup replacement which is a Soap Bar shape. I've heard that Soap Bar pickups are known for their warmth and punch and thought that if I routed out the body and replaced the bridge J-bass pickup with the soap bar one. Question is, would it be worth it or even work at all? The dials at the moment are 2 volume controls (one per pickup) and a tone control.
