1. Do yourself a favour and watch the episode with Tod Rundgren that's quality all over.
2. Go for it, it's dead quiet. The passive mode is uncoloured so you get the same tone as in active mode without the boost obviously. The treble is 18K but it's not harsh surprisingly. I highly recommend it.
3.
Headphones have very flat response and a wide bandwidth, bass cabs don't. I wouldn't judge an amp based on what you hear through phones.
The king has spoken and I bow to the king!
4. Hell no!!! leave that bass alone. That weird headstock makes it even more appealing and endearing. Don't touch it mate it looks wonderfully weird and quirky.
5. I got one of those which I bought to use as backup and ended up being my main bass. I love the neck!! I installed a Status MM pickup and a Glockenklang 2 band preamp and now is a monster!!
6. I was about to tell you to add him to your facebook and send him a private msg. Scott is a great guy and always available. I love the guy and his instructional videos.
7. Nice, that's what I call a Valentine's present.
8. Yeah it's great to see Wilko (A.K.A. Ser Ilyn Payne) out there still making great music and having fun.
9. Mine started as backup and now has become my main bass, I changed the pickup and the electronics and now is a monster.
10. Just a correction mate! I got the 5 string version of this bass and the controls are not Vol / Tone / Tone but Vol / Bass / Treble. It's a nice bass and I vouch for it's quality.
11. Loved the sound and the look is superb. I knew there was something familiar in the sound, that Clock preamp is amazing.
12. There are a couple of differences: - The Stingray has a body made of Poplar and the Sterling Ray has Swamp Ash. - The Sterling is made in Indonesia and the other in USA. - I think the Sterling Ray's body is slightly smaller than the Stingray. That's all I can think of.

SOLD.

Hey I did a transaction with AREA and the bass reached him without any problems, I just took the neck of the bass to make sure it wasn't going to be broken in transit. You can trade with AREA with all confidence he's very reliable and a very nice guy too. Hope this help.
14. It's more like Salsa-Jazz. I can hear little Michel Camilo like bits. I really like it, just mix it again and you have a winner.
15. I've always said that the bass guitar and any other instrument shouldn't be restricted to a single role. Hey I'm a groove player myself but I don't begrudge players pushing the boundaries. Look at Seth Horan, he's a bass player but at the same time a singer songwriter who uses the bass as his companion instrument (is this the correct way of saying it? sorry if I got it wrong), are you going to tell him that he should just drop the bass and pick up a guitar? I think not, he's doing fantastic music and showing the world that bass guitar is not only boom boom boom bah doom or just root and fifth. I'm quite grateful that there was a Jaco or Jamerson and that we have Seth Horan and Zander Zon showing a different take on bass playing.
16. Divide the forum into: - Recoding equipment - Recording process - Sharing new music. I would even go further and sub-divide the "Recording Process" forum by Mac, Windows and other. That would help segment the contributions making them easier to navigate. Let's be honest if I go to that forum it will be primarily to find help on my recording ventures. Hope this makes sense.
17. The question is ... have you enjoyed the process???? I know I have..
18. Here's a better demo, I really like it...

20. Oh yes his work with Metheny is flawless, and to think that he got the gig as percussionist even though he never had played percussions ever before.
21. Being a latin american boy I know Pedro Aznar work, specially with Charly Garcia. He's one of my influences. Love the frettless work too, he's great a truly master of all trades.
22. Well GAK website has both basses TRBX-305 (5 strings) £302 TRBX-500 (5 strings) £424.99 Now that's what a call reasonable.
