2. Hi guys, Here is another B2 for sale, I recently upgraded to the B2.1.u from another Basschatter and now this baby has to go. It is in "Mint" condition and hasn't been gigged, is only been used for home practicing as a headphone amp. Still have the box and manuals. The price is £30 posted. Reduced price Notice: it doesn't come with the PSU but you can get one from from any Argos. the one I was using belongs to a mate. SOLD !!!!!
3. I bought my Ashdown amp from Thomann and still the price was cheaper than rip off Britain and I didn't get extra charged. So As Jean Luc point out depends on your company.
4. I think your best bet would be among: - Yamaha BB414 (For the money maybe the best bass, but I hate that switch instead of another volume) - OLP (I was quite impressed with the one I played, it was the new ones BTW) - Ibanez GSR200 (For the money another great bass) I think I've narrowed it a bit for you.
5. Anyone interested in this piece of computer history, will be interested in downloading the Ubuntu Medibuntu distro too, it comes with the low latency kernel and coupled with the always reliable Soundblaster can make a cheap and effective recording station. The distro comes complete with anything you could possibly use for recording purposes: - Hydrogen (Drum Machine) - Ardour recording station (The closest thing to Protools I've found) - Audacity - Jack kit (The Jack connectivity program) - Rosegarden (Midi recording station) And much more, so don't let CK take this unique piece to the tip and get yourself a spanking new recording studio. Ok CK where's my cheque?
6. Sorry chaps looks like that link it's been closed by Soundclick. Check this one from Zoom. The samples were made using the B2 http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/download/dem...mo_b2series.php
7. This chap went the whole mile and recorded samples of every single effect and amp modeling in the B2. There you go, enjoy! http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=584265
8.
Everything included with this, excellent condition as only gigged a couple of times. £30 posted
You've been PM'ed
9.
I don't want to be a fly in the ointment here...I mean, they look nice enough, some of the pickup configurations look interesting, but a quick glance at the price list (plus the option of a preamp for 200 additional euros) made my heart sink somewhat. Q. Why aren't people just getting a little tired of paying vintage prices for what are essentially a bunch of Fender copies? Sure, if they want to offer me an endorsement, I'll take a JMBass Custom 4-string, natural finish, with an additional MM pickup in the neck position too. No, make that a 5 string. I am on the cover of Bass Player after all. I deserve something free after all these years playing!! Much love P x
+10000000000000 No one could put it better!
10. You have a PM regarding the OBP-3 preamp
11. www.stringbusters.co.uk the best site I've found for strings.
12.
Well, after having a look in the bowels of my Squire VMJ, it's got 500k pots, and noticable on/off-ness, so I'm planning over the summer to drop them down to 250k audio taper pots. Might coincide with a Wizard Pickup purchase as well though...and a baddass.
Buzz changing pot depends on which pickups are installed on your bass, if you have single coils (Jazz bass pickups) then you better use 250k pots, most of the times when the bass comes with 500k pots means that the tone of the pickups is really dark and by using those pots will give more highs to the sound. If you installed SD pups then it's a good idea to install 250k pots, this will give you that vintage jazz bass sound that everybody love. Try to use the same 250k linear pots for the tone control paired with a .40u ceramic capacitor and you'll be fine.
13. Don't know about that model but they just announced this: http://www.olpguitars.com/images/lrg_mm22_cherry.jpg http://www.olpguitars.com/images/lrg_mm32_cherry.jpg And I think they are really nice!
14. Here is another one for you guys, his name is Quintin Berry and he's a freak!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vm0xXDlXnO4

I built one of those as my first project for £10 and 3 hours of fun.
16.
McGiver, the light is no good here right now - I'll take some pics tomorrow for you. As far as I am aware no pickups are active apart from EMG's. It's the coupling of the pickup with an active preamp that makes a bass active.
Not only EMG joe; Bartolini, SD and Peavy all of them have an active line of pickups but yes the most popular of those brands are passive. No problem mate whenever you can.
17.
the only thing wrong with the B2 and B2.1U is that they lack an aux input for running a CD/MP3 player into.
That is exactly my criticism to them. In other hand the Behringer Vamp has the line in option and works a treat.
