9.
I have tried G77's thumb and found the neck to be extremely nice, pencil thin and very comfy. I have never played a new one but I thought the 'Warwicks have far necks' thing was a misnomer, or perhaps it is true of the recent ones? I am not very 'up' on Warwicks at all, so don't listen to me.
my bass has a near neck
 10. i tried boiling, wont do it again though. leave them in methylated spirit for 12-24 hours, you will get a much better result, imo. this link will explain, the yanks call it DENATURED ALCOHOL but we call it METHYLATED SPIRIT http://www.tunemybass.com/strings/how_to_c...ss_strings.html
 11. if i was to buy another bass it would have to have a really low action are any brands known for that looks and sound wise i like the fender marcus miller jazz bass, although i dont know what their playability is like any help on this one?

 15.
Its just got here, and im a little excited to get home now... This will be the first time ive picked up a bass and pissed the neighbopurs off, ever! Im out all night in Canning Town watching a mates band so im not gonna get to play till tomorrow. Im also relying almost solely on StudyBass & a few downloaded video's to teach me the basics. Anything i should be aiming to be capable of doing within the 1st few hours/first few days?
yeah anything by U2

 24. the only complaint i had about my SX jazz was the neck pup was very very weak, not even half the volume of the bridge pup which is very "punchy" replaced with wizard 84 neck pup, stuck on a set of DR fatbeams, problem solved, sounds perfect.
 25. i have big hands (palms) but short stumpy fingers....maybe thats why
