1. This thread has made me realise that I haven't bought a contemporary album all year I've mostly been buying King Crimson's back catalogue and old jazz albums. I think I need to revisit Santa's list! (but the Primus and Prophet's of Rage are both good shouts!)
2. The biggest buzz for me is making up your own riffs. That feeling when you come up with a cracking bass line is just the best. Playing for over 20 years and never been in a covers band. Never say never though, I'd like to keep gigging so if my current originals band goes belly up then I may well have a crack at covers.
3. My marusz bass arrived with a standard roundwound gauge on it and they felt absolutely fine. I'd already bought some flatties for it though so they weren't on long.
4. Trade not happening so this is back up.
5. I couldn't recommend the Phil Jones Big head enough. Small form factor too.
6. That looks awesomely mean: 600w of dread coming at ya! Never really looked at this amp but I want one now!
7. Loved this show but couldn't remember the theme at all - nice bass line that!
8. Great thread! Always loved the professionals and remember a funk band covering it somewhere around the early 90's. Here's one of my fave's - Space 1999! Such an epic intro, then funky as F***!

I have one of these under my PT2. I've had a bit of a board change up recently and was hoping it would power my Line 6 M13 with 4 other pedals. Too much enough ma draw for it though, so will be sticking with the wall wart.
10. Just thinking that.
11. This is where I'm at. Reading this thread has brought back some crap memories. But I've been in my current band with two other lads for almost 7 years - we just get on and we're friends. It's just so much better that way. No arguments, some minor disagreements that we talk through, no bullying and no ego's.
12. Not a Clayton fan - but I like it!
13.
That's a great suggestion to try out, thank you. And I see it's got a nice touch of reverse sweep in its arsenal. Did you get yours directly from them or from a UK supplier? I know the Mr Black Fwonk Beta is currently Cameron's goto filter and all has fallen before it in Cameron filter land! So be interesting to see how this stacks up on a head to head. Btw - you moved your Ibby SR1300 on (seems to have disappeared from your footer)? I'm still totally enamoured with my SR1800 - can't believe what a great purchase this has been! Tomorrow afternoon. Tottenham Court Rd if there's a store there that stocks it?
Sorry Al, I've not kept up with this thead. I got the Funk Lite from here: https://www.coda-music.com/solid-gold-fx-funk-lite-envelope-filter-sold-out-more-on-order.html?gclid=CjwKCAiA0IXQBRA2EiwAMODil5YtbAmEljIYI68ADksIZn873EyedK_vQdaXUvMWNVsf2DildvPoAxoCBtUQAvD_BwE I can't remember actually adding the Ibby to my footer - that's needs to change, wonderful bass!
14. OK first up is an Eventide Pitchfactor . This is an amazing pitch shifter /whammy pedal which does a whole lot more. I particularly loved the sunthonizer effect. It's in great condition with the box, power supply and manual. I'm after £310 posted recorded delivery. Next up is my Line 6 M5 pedal. Over 100 effects in a single stomp box. Great condition and comes with the box, manual and power supply. £60. Tradewise I'm after a Dod mini volume pedal, a small delay like a TC Electronic Flashback mini, a similar size mini dirt pedal or a mini looper (like a bright onion), all to be off set against which ever pedal you're interested in. The Boss volume pedal isn't for sale sorry (changed my mind). Ta
15.
Which cab is it dude?
It's a VS-115 300w 8 Ohm.
16.
Would you trade just the amp for another amp?
Unlikely mate - I'd be stuck with the largest part of the pairing but let me know what amp it is and I'll have a think. ta.
17.
Left field suggestion. Lose the cab, keep the amp, cheap dummy load, wee mixer to DI into, decent headphones, jobs a good un. having owned an LB30 (and subsequently a CTM30) I know what you're giving up. Best little head out there and if I didn't have a Burman (despite it needing a good bit of work!) I'd have this off you in a flash...
Nice idea but I've got a Phil Jones Big Head I use with my head phones.
18.
Have you considered moving in with a girlfriend with a bigger flat?
I have and I still have too much stuff!
19. Sadly up for sale is my Ashdown Little Bastard amp with the accompanying 15" Ashdown cab (VS-115 300w 8 Ohm). This is an amazing studio/practice tube amp and just about the nicest sounding amp I've ever owned. Genuinely gutted to part with it as I've never sounded better but I'm looking to move in with girlfriend and need to down size. Rather than a straight sale I'd actually prefer to trade it for an amazing quality (small) practice amp. Something like a Phil Jones Double Four or Briefcase would be ideal. It has to be able to be played at low volume in a flat so as to not annoy neighbors - which the Ashdown can do incidentally! I can't see me posting this amp as I've no packaging but I would be prepared to travel a reasonable distance to assist the trade/sale. I live in Liverpool but sometimes travel to Coventy and Middlesborough if this helps. I'll post pics over the weekend.
20. I bought a cello just over a year ago - then picked up a weird nerve injury in my left arm which hurts when I play. So after barely using it in the time I've had it and with no let up of the injury I've decided to move it on. I bought the cello for £825 and it came with a soft gig bag and bow. I then bought a cello stand, rosin and several work books. I'm letting this go for £600 which is a bargain. The cello was set up by Jan Shelly: http://www.janshelle...nthepool.co.uk/ Obviously it can't be posted but I'd be happy to meet halfway to any reasonable distance for petrol money. The price is non-negotiable and I'm not after any trades really. I'll get pics up over the weekend - but it really is a lovely instrument.
