1. Have a search on TB, can't remember what's on it, apart from a toy mastodon!

Behringer

I haven't used them but my guitarist has a smattering of them on his board. He has the delay, the chorus and one other but not sure which. Although they look cheap and nasty they do sound good - he's probably got the best sound out of all the guitarists I've ever worked with.
3. Mailing lists are a good way to advertise your band and try to drum up regular, non-friend based, support. You have to capture audiences names and emails (right after your set) so you can advertise gigs direct to potential fans. Just make sure you don's start annoying prospects by bombarding them with crappy updates - just stick to gigs and recordings. On the down side you have to go around asking people for details which, personally I hate doing - although there may be someone outgoing in your band, or a friend of the band, who may enjoy this aspect.
4. Lozz is spot on. I've been considering buying one of these. I remember reading that the re-issue's had solved this problem. They had a C before the serial number IIRC. Best check out TB rather than trust my not great memory!
5. What are you waiting for? Your not convinced that the band is working musically anyway, some members have other commitments and the other members didn't have the decency to tell you they cancelled a rehearsal (that immediately suggests that they don't value you!). I left a band after a mostly good 6 years. I loved the other band members but my heart wasn't in the music anymore. I needed a fresh challenge. I didn't have any irons in the fire and no back up plan. I posted an ad on joinmyband. Within a couple of days I had at least 4 contacts. Two of which were excellent options. I chose the one most interesting to me and haven't looked back. Considering I had been umming and 'rrring about a move for ages I just wished I'd done it sooner.
6.
Finally be able to add to this thread in the next month or two. I'm thinking of making myself a little board up with so far, a Boss TU-2/3 and Tech 21 VT Deluxe. Anyone got any other reccomendations for things to throw on there, nothing too expensive (£50-£60 max for now, second hand) and not too big, i only want this to be a small board, despite having a huge pedal on there.... Thanks in advance, Liam
It all depends what genre of music you play. Although, at that price point, either an EHX bass big muff or a second hand Boss OC2 - depending on your needs.
7. I was with Music Guard for a good few years. It was pretty cheap but there were so many exclusions. The only time my gear was covered was if someone stole it from right under my nose - which was never going to happen anyway. Most of us don't drive vehicles with blacked out windows so amps etc are almost always going to be visible in unattended vehicles and therefore excluded. You could always throw a blanket over it I suppose.
8. I think it looks quite good. Although I was never a fan of the way Ashdown looks generally - and quite liked Markbass' big yellow speakers which some did not so I guess I have different aesthetic tastes to a lot of other people.
9. If you're not on the same page then your best offing the individuals concerned or offing yourself - and the sooner the better.
10. I'd love to hear that in the flesh - sounds awesome - and I bet your also stoked at the weight? Hurry up and do a tour up north so we can check it (and your band) out!
11. I;ve recently bought a Barefaced Super12T. Gonna take it to its first full band rehearsal tonight and can't wait. I was sad enough to take it to the studio the other night to try it solo as I was just dying to blast it. Its such an easy carry its beyond belief! I live in a 3rd floor flat with no lift and taking the stairs with this cab was a piece of cake. Its not that its light for a cab - like my previous Markbass 151HR. Its just light full stop! Whilst I wouldn't describe it a 1 handed lift (I think you'd need to be pretty tall and strong for that - due to the shape) it is an easy carry. Not sure what the trolley wheels are on there for but they are quite fun and novel for the time being (yes I'm sad like that!) Considering the lightness of it the quality is very reassuring and I have no doubts regarding its durability. Can't comment too much on the sound quality as it really is early doors and will have a better idea of how it sits in the mix after tonights jam but my first impressions are that it is very even and detailed across the whole range including the dusty end and its very loud. The tweeter is very sensitive, although not shrill or nasally and much better than the ones used on my previous Markbass cabs. I'll write a bit more after I've had more experience with them - roll on 7 o'clock!
12. My whole reason for playing bass right there. RIP
13. Why not keep the herd for a few years and if the economic upturn doesn't happen - sell a few and fund your international adventures?
14. Continue only if was a 'well known covers' band. Originals band - unlikely, unless its really straight forward material.
15. f*cking Woof!
16. I can't rememember from your board but do you have any particularly tone sucky pedals in once of the loops? If I'm reading your explanation correctly that may account for it?
17. Excellent! Out of the 3 acts I'd rather do the curry night mate
18.
When could you possibly need more output than an S12 on its own?!!
When you want to kill everyone else in the room?
19. Wow - looks fantastic mate. I'm expecting my super12T soon. Just wondering - did you feel that the super12 lacked lows or were you just after a complete killer rig?
20. That's a good price mate - I bought another batch the other week and the cheapest I could find was £4.40 per jack and, IIRC, about a fiver for 1 metre of cable.
21. Thanks TNIT. It really is a quality filter pedal.I'm having second thoughts already! Will PM the other posters.
22. Kind of reluctant trade. Seriously love this pedal but I'm in a metal band and can no longer bring the funk. I've had it about 3 years and its been modded to include a return / send switch (done by Martin Owen). Here's a link http://martoneaudio.com/meatwad.htm There's some great bass samples on there which shows what this can do. It really is a gem of a filter pedal and is a clone of the Lovetone Meatball pedal. I think I'd rather trade this on than let it continue to gather dust. If I need another one I can get one in the future. It's in good condition with the odd chip on the paintwork. I'll post pics over the weekend. Tradewise, hmmm, not sure really. Either a really good comp or ideally a synth and preferably an original EHX bass synth with the true bypass mod - although I'd take one without - as long as its in good condition and with power supply. I'm away until sunday so will not be able to reply to posts after 5pm today. thanks
23. If I'm learning something which is technically beyond me and tough to play I don't tend to get frustrated to be honest. The times when I get frustrated are when I'm learning something new that I should be able to play but cock it up time after time, I think that may be more of a memory issue however.
24. Not sure what you guys think but this is the only Barefaced cab I prefer with the black grill rather than the silver cloth. Looks brill.
25. Dead jealous man! Mine should be ready soon - and i've nearly got the rest of the payment together. Really, really can't wait! Have fun!
