  1. Just purchased a bass case from Ian. Great comms, packaged well. All good.
  2. Interesting how the tension in strings can vary so much. Used to have a MIM Roadworn Jazz and tried it with Rotosound '77 Flats, but they felt like they were going to rip the neck off when they were tuned up to pitch. Now my '77 P-Bass has Thomastik Infeld flats and they are just perfect (I know it's all subjective). If you can get a hold of TI flats, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Mine have been on for over a year, rehearsed & gigged regularly and still sound awesome...I reckon I've got a couple more years left in them which, in my mind, justifies the slightly pricey purchase price.
  3. Purchased (from a fellow BC'er) for my MIJ Jazz but doesn't fit - looks like it is more geared towards US Jazz in terms of screwhole/neck cuts. Light marks from usage but overall great condition - comes in original packaging I seem to have used up all my quota of photo storage with a photo from another ad, so happy to email photo upon request. Happy to post.
  4. White (well it was once) Pickguard for Made in Japan (ie 20 fret) Jazz bass. I am not sure what other Jazzes this will fit as the screwholes vary from model to model. It's now aged to a creamy colour. Holes drilled for lower mounted rest and bridge pickup cover. I seem to have used up all my quota of photo storage with a photo from another ad, so happy to email photo upon request.
  5. ^^^^tried to change the sale price field to 65 but it's not changing. For clarity £65 posted.
  6. I have recently replaced the electronics in my '92 MIJ Jazz so up for sale is the following (which I believe to be the originals): Fender Japan 1992 pair of jazz pickups Two volume and one tone control pots (with black plastics jazz knobs) All wiring (except the bridge ground wire) All in good working order but got a definite 20+ years of used look to them (mojo???) Will post pics later. [s]£65 posted in UK.[/s] Price dropped to £55 posted in UK
  7. Withdrawn. Will keep it and have fun with it in the absence of any interest.
  8. One final flutter up the listings before I decide to keep it after all...
  9. Is 'flutter' a better word than 'bump' for this listing?
  10. @MB1 - very good. I had to look that one up!
  11. Bump. C'mon don't be shy. It's ok to have a bass that says "Girl Guitars" on the headstock. Really. Honestly.
  12. Yeah, your Stryker is very cool. Very cool indeed. But I have got everything I need now in the form of a 77 P and a 93 J (picked up last week). So it's a straight sale now.
  13. Updated photo bucket with a whole lot more photos: http://s1297.photobucket.com/user/wwkss2forsale/slideshow/
  14. For sale at £150 - no trades thanks as this is to cover a purchase made last week. Local (edinburgh) pickup preferred. Great condition. Couple of small dings on the back and the white pickup isn't quite pure white anymore. Nevertheless this is a super cool short scale bass which has a huge sound. I gigged it last weekend with a Thin Lizzy tribute act and got great comments (although one comment was along the lines of "it's like Gene Simmons and Stevie Nicks got together to make a bass"). Includes a Daisy Rock gig bag and there's even a couple of Daisy Rock picks in there. Will suit everyone from the beginner to the seasoned rocker looking for a fun bass.
