Hi, I'm in the process of building a '58 Precision using Mighty Mite and Fender parts. Would like it to look as authentic to the original as possible and need to know what hardware was chrome and what was nickel. I know the current '58 reissues use chrome tuners and knobs but I've seen a Custom Shop reissue with what looks like aged nickel parts. Any of you history buffs able to help me out here? Cheers!

Hi all, Got a problem just developed with my Promethean P5210 combo. As of last weekend it has started distorting at all volume levels, through both 10s and both tweeters. I noticed it two gigs ago but seem to remember that the volume dropped first when I first turned amp on and had to turn it on and off to get the level right and noticed distortion problem later that night. I've tried plugging an iPod into the aux input and the distortion disappears, so obviously not a speaker problem. Tried different basses and leads and both speaker outputs to no avail. Just about to remove top panel from amp to see if there's anything obvious. I think it may still be covered by Thomann 3 year warranty but shipping back to them is a holy fanny on! Help!

I meant to mention in OP, how slim are they? One thing that puts me off the Allparts neck is reports of it being quite chunky, which was something I discovered with a Warmoth neck I owned. I'm looking for the same slim dimentions as on my CIJ Jazz.

Hi all, Just started sourcing parts for a Precision/Jazz build and wondered if anyone has any experience/opinions in Mighty Mite necks. Could get an unfinished maple Jazz neck and Ash Precision body from Musicians Friend for the same price as an unfinished Allparts neck! Was originally leaning towards Allparts as they look more authentic with the truss rod adjustment at the heel, but if I can keep costs down that leaves me more to spend on other bits. Plus, I should be fairly confident of the Mighty Mite neck and body going together without any fettling. I've heard that the MM necks will need a bit of work done to the frets, but was gonna get a set up done on completion anyway. Thanks for any advice!

Hi all. Recently downloaded Reaper and have to admit I'm a bit of a noob in this department so may well be making a very basic error somewhere along the line but I tried downloading some VSTs last night, namely EpicVerb, CV Piano and Mr. Ray. Files are in Downloads, also downloaded WinRar as EpicVerb is a .rar file. Tried to get them into Plugin folder in Programs/Reaper on C drive using WinRar but keep getting the same "Access Denied" message in WinRar. Going to try uninstalling WinRar tonight and trying again. Any advice greatly received!
