I bought one of these a few years back, to keep me going whilst I was waiting for my ACG to be built. I swapped out the stock tone controls for one of Kiogon's looms, which transformed it completely. It always played really well, but after that it sounded bloody wonderful too. Sold it when the ACG arrived, but I really should have kept hold of it. These were really nice basses.

Just sold my Joyo Overdrive pedal to Lee. Great comms and a pleasure to deal with. Would heartily recommend.

Just sold my EBS Unichorus to Ian. He was a pleasure to deal with. DM'ed me first, paid in the blink of an eye, and was kind enough to message me to confirm the pedal arrived safely.

Can you not also get them from John (East) directly? I think you used to be able to order them straight from his website. Just checked - yes, you still can.

This is a looper I picked up when I was bored during lockdown (remember that?!). It's a great device, but I've realised my low boredom threshold means I just don't have the patience to read the instructions sufficiently attentively to be able to use it to anything more than the basic basic level. It deserves better! Offers up to 6 hours recording time. Mono or Stereo recording, 99 user memories and Switching phrases without latency (whatever that means!). The latest version of these seem to go for about £100, but I've seen this version on Amazon for £127! That seems a bit extravagent, so I hope my asking price is reasonable. It's in great condition, boxed and with its manual still. Thanks.

This was suggested as a decent, budget option when I was dabbling with Overdrive a while back. As I'm bandless at present, my playing is now confined to the bedroom, and my new amp has a decent on board overdrive/distortion option, this is now surplus. Emulates a Fender 57 Deluxe amp apparently, though I couldn't tell you how close it gets. Anyway, this remains a great budget option for anyone wishing to add some overdrive at low cost. Pedal is in excellent condition, and price includes UK delivery. Thanks.

I'm selling my EBS Unichorus as my new amp (Boss Katana-500) includes a very servicable on-board chorus, which is more than adequate for my bedroom-playing purposes. Being as the 80's was the decade I really started becoming obsessed with bass, a chorus pedal was pretty much an essential at the time. My first was a Boss CE-2, which saw through several years, until a sold it in a fit of stupidity. I went chorus-less for several years after that, but picked up the Unichorus during lockdown and have been noodling on it on and off since. It's a really nice chorus pedal, and to my ears sounds a lot nicer than the Boss CEB-3 I had for a while. Anyway, it's now redundant, so I need to move it on before I forget to do so and it ends up in its box in the loft for the next 10 years! It's in great condition, and price includes UK delivery. Thanks.

I have for sale my excellent Boss OC-5. Sadly, I've never used it live as I've been bandless for as long as I've had it. As such it's in pretty much as new condition - boxed, and with its manual. I've just bought a new Boss Katana-500 Bass head, which includes as decent an octaver as I require, so the pedal is now redundant. It's an excellent pedal though, with 2 octaves down and one up, plus polyphonic and vintage modes. Price includes UK delivery.

I think my playing live days may well be behind now (being bandless at present), so I have some bits and a few pedals to sell. First up is this Tourtech board and soft case, complete with PSU for 4 pedals. Everything is in decent condition, having never been gigged, and I am including a few zip ties and enough velcro to attach a board's-worth of pedals. Price includes delivery within mainland UK.

The Katana arrived safely on Monday and I've enjoyed a few hours with it since. What an incredibly versatile amp! I'm already thinking of selling my EBS Unichorus and OC-5, as I just can't see myself using them now, though I'll hang fire until I've had a bit more time with the app to see what parameters can be changed/tweaked. As I'm presently band-less, I can make do without the Bluetooth adapter for the time being, but I suspect the foot switch will be on my Christmas list to Santa (i.e. Mrs Bass Culture). For the time being though, just diving into all the areas/controls that can be adjusted looks like it will take me to Christmas! On another note, I have to say that Thomann's customer service were simply brilliant in terms of sorting out the price discrepancy issue. Absolutely painlessly and amicably resolved - kudos to them.
-
I think, because of Thomann's return policy, I could return my head for a refund when it arrives, and just purchase another at the lower price. I've emailed them anyway, to see if anything's do-able and we can work something out between us. We'll see.

And there was me thinking £499 was a bargain! Well done, Sir - that really is a steal!!
-
That's really helpful - thank you. It sounds complicated, but I'm sure it will make more sense when I have the amp and pedal in front of me! Thanks for all the info. 👍
-
Thanks - the enthusiasm you and others had for it earlier in this thread certainly made an impression. Quick question - which foot switch did you buy? It looks like there's several options that are compatible (according to the Boss website). I guess all I'd really want is to be able to mute the amp and call up the various (pre-programmed) effects as and when without having to refer to the front panel. Any idea which pedal would offer the simplest way of doing that? Thanks.

Just also spotted this on the Thomann info pages: "Duty We take care of the custom declaration so you will not have to pay any customs fees"
-
Bought it from the Thomann UK website, which includes VAT in the purchase price. I don't expect there to be import duties if it's from their UK site, but here's hoping I don't have a nasty surprise in that regard.
-
Had an accident which resulted in cracking the (glass) front panel of my TC RH-750 last week, which inspired me to cast eyes around for a potential suitable replacement if it were not possible to replace/repair it. Repair be damned - just seen that Thomann have reduced the Katana-500 Bass to £499, a price drop which I've found impossible to resist, even though I've presently no band! But, hell, you can't take it with you, can you? 😁

How did this pass me by? Hiwatt join the Class D club...

Hmmm, can't see any prices mentioned... -
Having owned this for about 5 or 6 years and having done precisely zero recording with it in that time, it's time for it to find a more appreciative owner, I think. I've owned it from new, but no longer have the box or instructions (online link to those here: https://www.tascam.eu/en/docs/US-1x2_RM_vA.pdf). I don't think it came with any leads in the first place, but if it did they too have vanished into the ether. It's phantom powered anyway, so there shouldn't be any issues when its properly connected. I say I didn't record with it, but I actually did use it to experiment (not too energetically) with Garageband and a couple of other free version DAWs, and it worked fine. It's a very simple AI and may be of interest to someone wanting to dip their toes into some home recording. Price includes delivery within the UK. Thanks.

Fantastic band. Hugely under rated. Championed by no less an authority than one Mr D. Bowie: "One of the most important female bands in American rock has been buried without a trace. And that is Fanny." Check out their performance of 'Ain't That Peculiar' from the same Beat Club session. Superb playing and musicianship, and harmonies to die for:

I don't have a Sei but I do have 5 Zoots which you are more than welcome to try. These include two Wal-a-likes (a passive and an active 'full Wal' with the Lusithand filter pre), a ZB1000 (based on an Aria SB 1000), a fretless and a passive. I'm in Chester. PM me if you'd like to pop over.

Should have put my hand in my pocket last Saturday! 😁
