Early years: The Bewlay Brothers; Middle years: DJ; Later years (I'm stretching this a bit): Jump They Say. There again, I could compile about 20 versions of that list with no duplications at all. I mean, just how does one man write so many brilliant songs?!

Oooh, just had an email from Adrian saying my Jake will be sent out next week. Just got to pay him now!
I cant wait for mine to turn up now. I reckon I've got about another month to wait
Adrian told me 'early January' for mine before Christmas, so I'm just trying to contain myself for another week or however long it takes.

I had a RH450 originally, then moved it on (as we do), only to come back to a RH750 earlier this year (bought new for about £150 less than the 450 seven years earlier! ). The RH750 replaced a Reidmar and has cured any amp-related GAS for me. I love the convenience of the feature set - the on-board tuner, tubetone and excellent compressor - and the three pre-sets. I know the whole 'TC watts' thing put some people off but, for my money, the RH amps are still some of the best D class amps out there, with a lot of very sensible, gig-friendly features and no window dressing ones. The 750 is flexible and loud too - loud as I'll ever need anyway. I like mine a lot...mind you, I've never played through a Tecamp PUMA 500 into a SansAmp paradriver!
Oof... I wouldn't like to guess. It feels fairly standard if that helps?
No matter - it'll be all the more exciting when it appears! Enjoy yours.

WoT - what's the radius of the fingerboard? I'm awaiting mine for delivery towards the end of January but I never thought to check the radius before I pulled the trigger. Unless it's silly tight it won't be a problem but I do prefer something over 12" usually.
HEY, Mr CULTURE, CAN I COME ROUND AND TRY IT OUT?
Absolutely you can, Steve. Good to hear from too, my friend. Adrian estimates a 10 week build so I guess I'm looking towards the end of January. If I haven't contacted you beforehand just shoot me a PM. Pip pip! Mark

And, of course, this all started from one of those 'I really need a P-type bass' thought processes...

I blame you lot! Been reading this thread for a couple of weeks and have today succumbed and put down a deposit on a 32" scale Jake 4p + in a natural finish and no pickguard. Control cavity round the back so it should look something like this: Except it's going to have a 38mm nut and 17mm string spacing so have had to go with monorail bridge units. You are naughty, bad people, all of you!

Had one of these. Bloody brilliant. Really regret selling it and would have this off you like a shot if i weren't for the fact I've become a bedroom player and my TC/Barefaced 'rig' is permanently set up in the corner of the room to plug into if and when I feel like a pluck. Someone have before I pull the trigger before I give in to a knee-jerk purchase impulse!

Aidan's just bought my Tanglewater Classic J off me and it was entirely hassle-free transaction. We agreed a couple of payments and the second one turned up two days ahead of schedule. Terrific communications too - you can deal with him with absolute confidence. Top guy...and top avatar too.
Thank you for your question sir. This is indeed a very good question and one that is news to me. Chris is a very smart guy. There is indeed a battery compartment in the back of this bass, with a single 9V battery inside. Without this battery the bass doesn't work, so my conclusion in a rambling, round about sort of way, is that this is indeed an absolutely active bass =) We're wasted on bass playing. I'm off to become an author
The battery is for the John East buffered pre-amp isn't it? The EQ is passive but the pre-amp merely increases the output signal, so I understand. So it's kind of active/passive really... -
I've got tired of chasing amps and cabs and realised I have great gear already.
What, no GAS?! Maybe you can you tell us what you've got so we can all buy the same thing?
