TC RH450 ... & which 12 or 2x12 cab (othe than TC cabs)
Bass Culture replied to Tradfusion's topic in Amps and Cabs
RH450 and Barefaced S12T .. Match made in heaven...And it's 4 ohm...And it looks like TC have fessed up and have said the RH450 is stable into 2.5 ish Ohms so you could always add another midget T or Compact.. But personally what I've got is quite loud enough...
+ 1 for this combo. Sounds killer with my Zoot Chaser. -
1984 Wal Mk1 Fretless. Something Special.
Bass Culture replied to phsycoandy's topic in Basses For Sale
Im seeing the guy tomorrow I will check with him, I believe it was an option to have the side dots in either position.
I didn't realise that - thanks for the clarification. No real surprise when you think about it, I suppose. Being handmade it would have been as easy to do it either way and I'd think players coming to fretless from fretted basses might have felt more comfortable with dots in what they might have thought of as the 'normal' (i.e. between the lines) position. Thanks. -

Iceni Zoot custom fretless for sale £800 ONO
Bass Culture replied to Chris2112's topic in Basses For Sale
It looks as though this bass is now sold on a multi installment payment plan. Thanks for looking, folks!
To me, to me! Thanks Chris - really looking forward to getting my hands on this beauty. I bought lfalex's Zoot Chaser last year and had the pre-amp swapped out for an ACG/East EQ 02, which Steve Soar did for me, and it sounds simply killer. The idea of adding a similarly specced fretless Zoot to the stable was just too enticing to pass up, so I'm very grateful to Chris for entertaining my somewhat cheeky suggestion of a small number of staggered payments. You are a gent, sir! Mark -
Well done, gents. Even I'm finding my way around pretty easily - and I'm a complete changeaphobic! Looking good.

Sounds like an interesting project. I'll be keeping my eye on this one...

Steve's done some work for me too - absolutely top guy who does a really good job. He's over in Birkenhead - a 25 minute zip down the M53.

Just noticed that this thread has consecutive members - Bloodaxe and Mike - posting. How coincidental is that?! Out of 20,000-odd BC-ers!

Yeah, I played this for a short while in our set too. I seem to remember the bass part feeling kind of fat and slow, which smacked of dropped tuning to me at the time - Eb would make sense then on a 4 string. I don't think we bothered and just did it in E though. It's got one nice little lick in it, I think, but boring as hell apart from that - IIRC.

OBBM. Would not now buy anything else. And for those who - like me - had cables originally made up with the Van Damme cable, I can strongly reccommend having another made up with the Klotz cable that Dave is now offering. I thought the difference was quite significant. Pip pip! BC

2 wheels and tilt back with a handle. They are fixed over the rear angle and at the same height resting as the front feet. You just tilt it back and away you go! I think someone posted photos from an earlier review with a comment that they were a work or art in thelves (or something!). It's absolute piece of cake to move anywhere.
Hi there, last Tuesday I collected my RH450 and had a go with my Status basses at home. I do not know what my neighbours think...BUT I must say that this little beast sounds great! I have the impression that my basses sound more natural than through my (now ex-)Markbass TA501 which is a great amp, but seems now a bit harsh compared to the RH450. The TC is maybe not so loud and you have to crank the highs a bit to get that nice high end zing, but has a more organic sound, at least to my ears. This may be also due to the 2 small EBS Neo cabs (110 & 112) I use with the head and this could change using different cabs, but I am extremely happy so far. The footswitch is another great addition too. Will update my review once I gigged it! Any suggestions regarding the ideal cabs for the RH450? need something very light and portable, I am looking at the TC RS112, has anyone tested these yet? Cheers, Stefano
Stefano, I use my RH450 with a Barefaced Super Twelve T (2x12) and couldn't be happier. The cab weighs in at a little over 40lbs and, together with the amp, is the finest sounding combination I've owned in thirty years of playing. Got mine made with the 'old skool' silver cloth option and it looks the dog's too!

Funky Stuff (Thibault) recently bought my Roscoe LG3000 off me and what a painless and quick transaction it was! Payment was quick and communications excellent. As he was buying an expensive bass from France the deal relied on a huge amount of trust on his part and I would have absolutely no qualms in reccommending him to any and all fellow BC-ers. Top guy! I think you had this up before, didn't you? No idea why it didn't sell - these are simply fantastic basses and the price is very fair. Good luck this time round. If anyone worried about the scale length, don't be; I've got very small hands for a bass player and I managed with mine quite easily. Still regret selling it actually and would be seriously tempted by this if I had the funds available. Still, that's what happens when your car fails its MOT!
