is it really worth it?? isnt a bronco like the lowest range squier?? tbh mate id save your money and buy a better built bass but i guess there aint too much out there short scale wise, if thats what your into
The Squier Bronco's are ok for the price, but pointless to modify, it's a bass you'd start out with and for kids and peeps with small hands. But, if your determined to upgrade it seymour duncan are neat to put in. Its a guitar pickup isnt it? (shaped) Cool rails/ Hot rails..either will work BTW, is it a Red a Black or a ..*vomits slightly* Badtz Maru? Just my curiosity Danelectro's (IMO) are nice basses, but the design are too funky for me. Good Luck!
Hah! See, I don't like Elites... but I can see why that's a bloody good deal. Similar to my 5 sets of TE strings for £35...
Haha, I've never tried Trace Elliot strings, usually I find some in my gauge but they're often double ball end, Argh! but the prices for them on ebay are great! £35? C'awh, now thats an awesome deal...in my eyes
-
lol I must admit they do feel kinda... ...its wierd how to explain, I can only substitue and say they feel "plastic-like" against the usual crunch you get with any new string(s) but I believe Mertons right & Ive never bought roto's online I guess I have to give them more chance But first, I've gotta get thru 7 packs of Elites strings, what a score from ebay for £50

Mine has to be my main bass, a 97' Streamer Stage 1, its the only bass I own! works with every style IMO. Plus! it has the optima gold strings beerdragon gave me, any thoughts? keep or not to keep them on.
-
lol "Turd Brown"...nice, an instant put off kinda stupid how he can try and sell it in that state.
-
I think he deserves feedback.. Recieved this morning a set of optima gold strings from beerdragon, for Free! they seem awesome and suprisingly in my favourite gauge Thanks Mate, all the best. Peace!

It is a raite shame to see these awesome instruments go for low amounts, I admire these over Fender! Hope this doesnt continue for years to come. You know I cud get this, I do have the money but unfortunately I have intentions of Getting a 5 String Streamer, Stage 1 or 2, not a clue yet! Good luck with the sale man, all the best.

Can anyone reference me to a website with (mp3 or any other format) Drum backing tracks? I need some beats to play/jam with, I hardly see my drummer since dedicating more time to Wood Tech Thanks!

Hiyo Max, Welcome to the boards & I hope you enjoy it here, t'is the shizz! Your collection makes me jealous...haha, you need a 5 string

I know I'm not keen on nickels, but has anyone tried the Rotosound nickels?
-
^_^ It could be your action..never experianced the red material to go past the bridge, so maybe it is a flaw.. Roto's are quite good strings the first time you put them on, snappy tone, I cud say amazing.. Day 2 - yeah, these seem to be holding quite well... Day 3 - *snap* oh no, dead already?.. This also happened with cheapie strings (I wanted to try out) called Cheetah, they (IMO) practically seem lifeless after 30 mins  I think from my experiances not leaving enough slack for the string makes the odds of breaking more likely...esp with the G string. I rarely buy them, Elites are an excellant choice as well as Warwick EMP.
Think I'm gonna try that. It's usually roto swing bass 105's for me, fingerstyle rock and funk. Do most of you slappers prefer lighter strings?
*nods* Indeed, plus the loose tension too. I have my strings quite low, so theres the occasional buzz..I don't mind, but others who have a go on my bass don't like the feel, find it annoying..tho I love it! Only annoying thing is I slap ridiculously hard & pop vigerously, so the G string always breaks...argh!

I use Elites 35 - 95 all the time, or Rotosound 30 - 90 I've Gotta try some optima gold ones, they'd look superb on my Streamer
