1. lol Tanglewood owners must make a big loss in the second hand markets if the RRP's are £850 Post this on the bay if your not getting any interest..people buy anything there! You know I'm curious, any chance we can get a photo of this reciept? Also, re-word your ad. I couldn't understand it where does it begin & end.
 2.
Lol, he's not with Hard Fi I think Nick Fyffe served his time in Jamiroquai very well, his playing suited their change in direction, like it or not (i preferred it). Si
lol I think he went in as a replacement on tour...oops! I couldn't accustom the change to be honest, turned tremendously poppy.
 3. I guess from what I've gathered and learnt its all down to basic personal preference, I'm more into the steels as the accustom my style of playing and also I'm into the bright sound to be honest others prefer the nickels (a vast majority ) I've had my hand at nickels but found issues, maybe it was my action or the particular gauge I have (I have small hands ) either way this topic has been a vast help and I show my appreciation...Thanks guys! Pedro
 4.
Andy, If I could get some stills I did when doing a TV programme some years ago, I'd certainly have some to beat you hands down. One wearing a 70s suit that was clearly too small for me if you get me!
lol Haha! I think thats something we all wanna see ..upload the vid!
 5. Ok, since many guitar shops (in High Wycombe) have dissapeared...except for Paradiddles which is an ok place for strings & the owner Phil always is nice to deal with. I was wondering, is there any good luthiers/bass techs in the buckinghamshire area? I need a complete set up for my bass, professionally and (thanks to Warwick.de) would be good if they are keen with warwicks & had the (warwick) equip to setup with, incase your asking I had no care kit since I bought it second hand and apparently you need the required truss rod tool to adjust the truss rod esp to take the lighter gauge Im placing on. I'm not willing to take the chance of me doing it Thanx in advance peeps Pedro
 6. Gorgeous Bass you have there
 7. With the Blue 91 Streamer I recall on the Warwick de forum about placing in either EMG or the original MECs...I think. Which ones better? or is there no difference at all? plus what set up does the bass have (strings, action etc) Just contemplating with my wallet...screw finding a Thumb, it's clear I want a Streamer
 8.
In my sence, desperate times call for desperate measures...plus, I need the cash so its on risk
And with that said *ghm* BUMP!
 9.
What else do you have in your stable? The only thing that puts me off about this steamer is the colour, I don't like blue!
You might say I'm odd but I'm fond of the oil finished streamers rather than the natural lol..only reason is I have no effort to wax em' after playing. If only my friggin fender bronco would sell...my money would be complete to gamble with
 10.
I can't remember exactly what it said on the card but it implied that it was one of Nicks basses at some time. There is/was a Fender P bass in a Middlesbrough shop that I was told was used by the guy from the Levellers.
(Without any background info or sourcing) I've never recalled Fyffe as a Warwick player, with that said it is a nice bass wouldn't be interested tho. Can't seem to relieve my stress for him just the particular hype I would read on Jamiroquai 2000 era he doesnt compare. Examples.. Originality - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=gWY08D2jjlA New line up attempt - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=BX5tnsfw5JY I've always thought he was never a funky player, never got me grooving, not an inspiration. I think now he's with Hard Fi, what a pointless band (blaintantly Im not a fan)
 11.
Saw it today, It's a Corvette Standard 5 string. Didn't look close enough to see if it was active or passive. There was a pic of Nick holding said bass. 799 quid.
Nick Fyffe had a warwick? I thought he used Yamaha...re-educate me if wrong Sounds Good, tho never a fan of him (esp live *argh*)....like Paul Turner tho, he's got some chops
 12. Without all that hassle...why dont you just buy that one you want to make..it's already made.. (last photo) of course change the BA and Audere
 13. I've had a go on one (courtesy of my heavy rocking bass player friend ) they're not bad, give off a good sound, tbh I didnt like the shape tho he adored it so who's complaining errm, I dont think Dark Stars would fit..*ponders* overall its an ok from me.
 14. Welcome to the forums Jester! Hope you enjoy it & Bass Playing too! lol from time to time I don't mind bass within soul & r'n'b/funk, you should check out Stuart Zender's AZUR project, I'll wire you with some songs he did (quite r'n'b likey) EMG's are awesome, hands down Pedro

You made it minutes after someone noticed ...cheeky! Edit: For Gareths Comment, couldn't have said it any better esp with the sarcasm
 16.
Thought you couldn't part with it? Shame i haven't got the cash
In my sence, desperate times call for desperate measures...plus, I need the cash so its on risk
 17.
I've got a pair of those hand grips. I use them from time to time but not as often as I should. How long should I use them for? I used to 100 grips but that only takes a couple of minutes, I can't see that it would make a huge difference. Should I do it longer?
I do them up until I feel some muscle tension (meaning its working around my wrist and forearm muscles) then I take about a 5 min rest and do it again..maybe others have a different notion but it works immensely for my right hand when playing afterwards..no w**kie jokes please..
 18. That price is just taking the piss
 19.
I was doing pull ups during a quiet spell at work and the tendonitis that had settled down in my left wrist just got a million times worse. I can barely fret an octave shape now Absolutely gutted. I'm gonna have to give my bass a rest for a few weeks I think, which is murder, especially since I'm buying an Ashdown rig. Head should be here some point next week, with the cab coming a few weeks later. Does anyone know of any exercises I can do to strengthen my wrists? No w***ing jokes please.
Those hand (stress) grips usually do the trick for me, tenses them up too.. general flexing, move fingers (as if) theres an invisible fret-board..*shrugs*, rotate wrists
 20.
Do you have a price in mind?
With my bewildering puzzlement..I guess that would be a no..saw one on ebay (all black) for £599...*shrugs* any help? Oh yeah forgot to mention...The Dimarzio is a 80's humbucker, original pots and circuit and scratchplate...bought a repo one from the sates and and placed a single coil with it (bronco 60's), tho thats recently sold to a family friend.. EDIT (again): Original tremolo arm when bought included too.
 21. Arctic Monkeys basslines are "somewhat" catchy.. lol its all indie, EMO, or alt nowadays...not once have I heard a new band use slap bass, or any melodic line.
 22. Jesus Christ! That bass looks lush..*drools*
 23.
It depends on a couple of things like how light/heavy your touch is, the neck radius and your personal preference. A 2.5mm relief on the E string, going down to 2mm on the G string is a reasonable place to start. Hamster
lol my touch is light Im not reli a heavy player, hence Im changing my strings to (rotosounds medium light - 35, 55, 70, 90. More better for me to adjust to than heavier, plus Im used to them altho they say stainless steel goes dull after a while, I like them tbh) To be honest I'd like them quite low. Not exact touch to the fretboard but given a little height. Thanks Hamster, I'll give that a try
