[color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]This is the top of the range Overwater and is in extremely good condition with only one small ding on the rear body[/font][/color].

Looking for £1100, but would consider trade for a traditional type jazz or precision 5 string with 34" scale, strong B and lightweight.

Comes in hardcase.

No typo. I believe all Overwater Progress basses are 36" scale (unless otherwise stated). Feels like a 35" though because of the way it balances.

I picked up this lovely [color=#282828][font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]Overwater Progres Deluxe III 5 string from k50 along with the other Koa topped Progress Elite sold recently by k50. The idea being that I would try both and keep the one I preferred. The tone of both is outstanding and quite similar (although this one is probably slightly cleaner and more modern sounding - [i]amazing [/i]slap tone), but as I'm a sucker for a lovely piece of wood, the Koa is staying.[/font][/color]

Not wanting to get political, but brexit has a lot to answer for!

Whacked on some brand new steel strings and played around with the pickup and string height and some significant improvement has been made.

Maybe there's a reason some bright spark came up with the KISS acronym!

Based on this description, the pickups in this bass would fit the OB description. Would it be stated anywhere on the pickup?

I had wondered about the strings, but they look pretty good. Having said that it's probably cheaper to change the strings than the pickups or preamp!

Thanks for this. In my naivety I thought such a simple 3-knob system on the outside would be mirrored on the inside, but apparently not; it's an absolute birds nest in the control cavity.

Think I'll either leave it as is and mess around with the set up (although it was apparently set up by a pro recently) or change the whole lot for an active preamp.

From what I've read on the net most users don't like the switch; I can probably understand why it mine is wired to be permanently engaged.

Which wiring diagram would I follow to get an unboosted signal?
