For sale is my TC Electronic RH450, complete with box, instructions, power and aux leads. Good condition, just a few small marks to the case as shown in the photos. The top of a couple of the memory buttons have small cracks, but they're purely cosmetic and everything is fully functional. An amazing amp, but I've reverted to my old big rig and it's not getting much use as a result. All the tech specs can be found at http://www.tcelectronic.com/rh450/ Can be collected from near jcn 10 of the M25. SOLD

For sale is an Epifani Epifunky 8 ohm 210 cabinet in virtually as-new condition, as you can see from the pics. I bought it on here earlier this year anticipating a run of small gigs that didn't materialise, so it's never even left the house. The previous owner bought it new direct from the manufacturer while his other Epifani cab was being repaired, and only used it a handful of times. Sweet tone, adjustable horn hi/lo/off. Comes with original shipping carton. Pickup much preferred (near jcn 10 of the M25) but I can ship within the UK, except for Highlands and Islands, for £30. A lovely cab, but it's just taking up room, so has to go, hence the bargain price of £195. Looking for a straight sale, so no trade offers please. NOW SOLD

It's a Washburn I think, without the transfer.... does that really qualify as a Status? Not too shabby for £200, I suppose... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/status-bass-/261551907843

Delayed Equipment - Who Pays?
lowregisterhead replied to lowregisterhead's topic in General Discussion
Sounds like a good conclusion for 'just one of those thing' that can happen through no fault of your own. I wonder how much the bass hire actually cost the promoter?
The management were charged 160 Euros, which seems a bit steep for a rather battered Sandberg California VM5 IMHO. I got the feeling it wasn't a hire bass at all, but some mate of the promoters who loaned it for a fee. Who knows - it did the job! -
Delayed Equipment - Who Pays?

Thanks for all the input, folks. The management have now told me they'll absorb the full hire cost, even after I offered to meet them half way, so no ill feeling hopefully. I'll know if I don't get called again! -
I just want to ask our very learned membership for some opinions on a recent event... thanks in advance for all responses! I did a gig in Europe last weekend, and my bass was 'lost' by the airline en route, necessitating the hiring of a bass to be able to do the gig. The tour manager said they'd cover it, which they did, but now they're asking me to claim on my own travel insurance to reimburse them. This wasn't mentioned at the time, and I'm not keen on having to fill in endless forms, as well as potentially having to pay a higher premium next time I renew due to the claim (160 Euros). The artist's management pay for flights, food & accommodation, even airport parking - my feeling is they are responsible for getting me and my instrument to and from the gig, and any mishaps along the way pertaining to equipment, other than a total loss perhaps, should be a matter for their insurers, not mine. The receipt is in their name in any case, which may nix any claim made be me anyway. Thoughts? P.S. The good news is my bass was delivered out of the blue by the airline's handlers yesterday, none the worse for its little adventure!
Has anyone any thoughts on these yet? I'm in the market for a fretless and really like the look of these...
I tried one at the Bass Guitar Show earlier this ear, and it was very nice to play, had loads of tonal variety and felt very well built, but for me the the body and neck weren't quite in the right place physically, if you know what I mean. It would probably just be a case of getting used to it, but I have other basses that sit better for my purposes at least, and I don't have £2100 spare for an impulse buy, and much as I love the look of them! Worth checking out though, Simon. The one I played was on the House Music stand. -

Bought Shemeck's Sandberg P5. Met at services on the M25, had a great chat, and did the deal there and then. I was on the way to a gig, and I played the Sandberg for the whole night! Great guy, great bass, buy/sell/trade with complete confidence. Thanks Shemeck!
Nice! Haden't seen one of these before- what year was it made?
According to Lakland's serial number lists, this one was made in 2002. I think they only made this model for a couple of years - not sure whether they just weren't popular, or perhaps Ernie Ball leant on them to 'cease and desist', but they're very hard to find. I've owned several Laklands over the years, and I'd never even heard of them until fairly recently. I found an article online from a few years back suggesting EBMM were gauging interest in a wide spacing Stingray 5, or 'SLO Special 5', but when I contacted EB they said they needed 125 pre-orders to go ahead with the run, and only got 3! The No Treble article is here: http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2011/07/01/ernie-ball-offers-test-run-of-music-man-stingray-5-string-bass-with-19mm-spacing/ Spacing on a standard Stingray 5 is 17.5mm, but that extra 1.5mm makes a lot of difference, for me anyway.

Here's a recent acquisition, a very rare USA Lakland 55-76... possibly the Holy Grail for a Stingray 5 fan who wants 19mm string spacing... that'll be me then! Custom scratch plate added by Martin at The Gallery. Plays like a dream, sounds phenomenal, light as a feather, but still balances beautifully.
I have a new 55-02 for a couple of Days now and Man, that is an awesome Bass. This brandnew Bass was for Trade, so I offered mine as a Trade Object, but the Owner didn't like my offered Bass. So I offered my Bass in another Board as a Trade Object. Someone offered me a Spector Euro 5LX. I traded my Bass against the Spector and then the Spector (wich was not really my Cup of Tea) against the Lakland Hope you like it.
Very nice!!
