  1. Yeah, couldn't find a past models page on Status... I guess I should post on the statii.com forum :-) Thought maybe there was some Status fans here, too. :-)
  2. There are so many different models, series I, II, 2, Empathy, etc... How do they relate to each other? I don't see a huge difference between a series 1 and an Empathy, for example... Anyone? :-)
  3. Still got this. :-) Sound sample on request.
  4. No love for this acoustic beauty? :-)
  5. I think it is 18mm but will check Edit: checked with Tom, and he thinks it's 19mm... So I'm guessing he's probably right. I haven't got the bass here right now, but will check when I get home on Sunday.
  6. Thanks! It is beautiful and also sounds great, both unplugged and plugged. I'll see if I can find the time to put something up over the weekend.
  7. Thanks, and I agree :-) in spite of being only 34" it does sound quite uprightish. The string and finner noise was picked up acoustically by the microphone on the phone. I did another recording in my Zoom H2 and it's much more quiet.
  8. I am selling my rare 5-string Conklin MEU electric upright. The bass is in very good condition, very little playing wear. It has a 34" scale length. The pickup is a Underwood type pickup which runs through a Bartolini piezo buffer. There's a volume and passive tone control installed. Body is swamp ash, which is hollowed out, and the top is cherry. Fingerboard is macassar ebony I believe, and the neck is a 5-piece maple/purpleheart construction. It can be strapped on using the accompanying block on the back of the bass. I will include a wide and adjustable EBS strap. The bass come in a custom case. Shipping is additional. The bass is located in Norway. Link to Norwegian classified page w/photos m.finn.no/bap/forsale/ad.html?finnkode=57388702&fks=57388702
  9. Sorry for duplicate post caused by network trouble
  10. This bass is still available! Email for better sound clips.
  11. This bass is still available :-)
  12. They are single ball end and clamped at the headstock. These are Hipshot systems, and are pretty expensive in themselves. I think there is hardware here for $14-1500 in Nordstrand pickups and preamp, as well as the Hipshot systems. :-)
  13. Apart from a few custom made basses, I think this is the only 6-string acoustic bass out there. :-) Seems Warwick is still making these, but Thomann don't have them in their lineup anymore, so seems it's getting rare :-)
  14. Considering to let my double neck Tom Clement fretted/fretless bass go. The serial number is #211. This is a beautiful and very unique bass! The body is swamp ash with a mahogany core, and a beautiful redwood top. The 32" necks are mahogany with macassar ebony fingerboards. One neck is fretted, the other is fretless. Currently, they are both tuned E-C, but will accept B-G tuning, as well. The hardware is Hipshot, and the bass is outfitted with Nordstrand mics and preamp. The switch will switch between the two necks and keep all electronic settings. This is a one-of-a-kind instrument! There's only built one other Clement double neck, which is 6+6 strings. There are ramps added between the pickups on both necks. The bass is in Norway, and I guess the shipping will be around £60 to UK.
  15. Here's a quick sound sample I recorded today onto Soundcloud using my phone (so it's a crappy recording, really.... but it's what I can do at the moment). It's played through my Genz Benz Shuttle 6 with a 10" Eden cab. All dials are set at the 12 o'clock position on the amp. The treble is rolled off a little on the bass. Starting out by doing a scale on each string. Then just trying to capture the uprightish vibe of the bass. https://soundcloud.com/jon-inge/conklin-meu
  16. Sound sample? Don't have one right here, will see if I can get one recorded tomorrow. BTW, possible deal pending awaiting sorting some details out :-)
