I'm hoping i wont regret it too! Its been a great bass for me for a long time - just need to recover some cash from a few other recent purchases.
Cheers flippyfloop.
TC Electronic BG500 owned here - although its the 1x15 - and can thoroughly recommend them for around the 500sniffs pricepoint. Nothing else came close for VFM.
Hi Guven
Sorry, all sorted for amps at the moment - its a straight sale only.
Happy to deliver London, Essex, Herts, Kent, East Sussex area by arrangement.
Roalnd Bass Cubes are well worth looking at - they have a few amp modelling COSM settings including Ampegs and Bassmans which are pretty good. You can plug an ipod in and play along, they have sensible effects and the Power Squeeze thingy works well to fatten up the sound a bit. I have a 20XL and its been great.
I reckon its just the wrong time of year to be selling your basses - if you can hang on till after crimbo i'm sure they'll sell for a reasonable price. Dont flog your Spector for a soppy price!
Its an image off the net but my original pics made it look a pinky sort of red and the one above is absolutely spot on for the shade. Its called Lipstick Red and its a bit pearly - mine make it look a coral red because of the room lighting.
It is most definitely red though (and red things are way faster as we all now - except in selling it seems )
Heres some of mine
ps i think it may be sold tomorrow - theres a guy who bought my other bass yeaterday who also played Ibby and has fallen in lust. He's trying to raise the cash and will call me Thursday. I have given him dibs on it.
I have a BG500 combo which i believe has a similar amp section. Never had it above 4 - it would blow the windows out of any pub. Sounds like somethings not right with yours.
Its my Ibby thats for sale above and the photos are a bit misleading about the colour - its not pink, its a deep pearlescent red. Still for sale and needs a good home. You wont find a better light, fast playing bass in this condition. This pic below shows a better representation of the colour.
I had a Bass Collection 301 just after i bought the Ibby and it wasnt in the same league soundwise.
Paul - you must be fairly close to me, you're welcome to come and have a play and a cuppa with no obligation just so you've tried one. It may help you in your quest
Could always have sawed a bit off i suppose
Hopefully not premature with the sale - the ebay buyer bidded on and won it in the last 5 seconds and then mailed me to say he needed it posting to him. I cancelled him out and weirdly a guy mailed me a few minutes later from th ePreloved ad to see if it was still for sale. He's collecting it Monday night.
Just got the Ibanez to shift now and then the Mrs will be talking to me again.
If you can stretch the budget a bit you can pick up a TC Electronics BG500 combo for just over £400 if you shop around. I bought a 15" version recently and have been really please with it. 500 watts as a standalone unit with 3 programmable memory slots, compressor and tube overdrive feature. Great bit of kit.
