I had that from our drummer a few years back at a gig. Venue had a hollow floored stage and apparently the rumble from my rig was making his insides move around unpleasantly. I spent the whole gig laughing at him looking like he was going to poop... 😂😂😂

Last nights gig was at a bar in the Essex Riviera's equivalent of St Tropez (or Sarfend as it is known locally). Freezing cold, wet and windy outside and the place had been really quiet all week - the landlord admitted he was a bit glum about the prospects of making any money on the night. We had a few gremlins during set up - singist getting a zap through the mic so we had to switch a load of mains cables around and then the geetard forgot to switch the sub back on. Consequently it all sounded weird and gutless when we soundchecked. I always stand out front whilst the geetard does the desk and it just sounded odd to me whatever we did but i was assuming it was an unfamiliar room. It was a big raised stage and you frequently find all the bass going into the floor into those sort of rooms. Eventually I figured out that he hadn't switched the sub back on!!! Fortunately we got about 60 people in so the evening ended up being a good one. Great lively crowd and we played pretty well and enjoyed ourselves playing some stuff that we can't normally do in a non rocky pub (Bark at the Moon and Get the Funk Out are always fun to play). Lots of nice comments at half time and afterwards and we came away with a glow on. Here's a pic from the crowd....

I've found both DR HiBeams and Dunlop Super Brights to feel a bit softer to the fingers

It bit the dust a few months back and moved north to a nice chap on here. For no other reason than something else I fancied popped up and my gear replacement policy kicked in. My Zon isn’t ever for sale, my Precision isn’t getting played but is rocketing in value so I can’t sell it and Betsyish was last in so first out on this occasion.

I bought it years ago when Thomann were blowing them out for £150. Brilliant bit of kit and you rarely see them come up used. I think everyone keeps them....

Love it tbh - much better than the previous Pitchblacks that i had. The display is excellent. Gotta start somewhere buddy! Not a stupid question at all.....

In its simplest form just plug your bass into the input (IN) of the BDI and run a lead from the output (OUT) straight into the front input of your amp (where you would normally plug your guitar lead into). Probably best to set all your amp tone controls flat in this case until you've had a play. When you want the BDI to work just hit the switch on it and you'll hear the difference it makes. The amp will work perfectly fine without the switch engaged. The 'BLEND' knob on the front regulates how much of the effected sound you will hear - fully anticlockwise and its mainly just your natural bass sound and as you rotate it clockwise it will mix in your effected signal. If you need to run into a PA you can connect into a desk via the XLR output And if you wanted to totally bypass your amps tone controls you can plug the BDI into the effects return (if your amp has one) and you will then be using the BDI as your amps 'front end' whilst using the amps power amp to supply the total volume.

Yep it works back to front oddly. In a band setting I used to engage the scoop but with the amp eq add on a load of mids and drop some deep lows. That worked really well for me - massive booty but you didn't disappear into the mud
