  1. I've had a USA Sterling and both 2 and 3 band EQ USA Stingrays along with a USA S.U.B The Sterling is very close to a 3 band Stingray with the 3 way switch set to the rear position. It fattens up in the front position. It's also inherently a bit more more aggressive sounding imho. It's nothing like a 2 band Stingray though which sounds warmer, fatter and deeper with a less aggressive mid...... I loved my Sterling (it was a beautiful honeyburst/maple one) for the sounds but i couldn't get on with the skinny neck hence ending up with Stingrays. Every one was brilliant though - i don't have a MM in the stable at the moment but i can see me getting something again in the future. A Sterling with a Stingray neck would be perfect for me (currently using a G+L L2000 so not far off it)
  2. Just stumbled over this guy reviewing a Schecter bass. Its a really great review, a balanced mix of styles and very informative. He can really play....theres a bit of Holy Wars early on, Jaco a bIt further in and a lovely noodle of Wicked Game at about 9:47. Have a look :-)
  3. Do it!!! Do it!!! Do it!!! 😂
  4. Not enough for my liking.....
  5. Hilarious punter vocal contribution on Saturday night...turn the volume up and have a listen. He was blitzed when we arrived at 7.30pm and could just about stand up at about 10pm when this little gem happened :-)
  6. We just picked up one tonight due to the booked band cancelling...... and had 2 others offered to us! I've got a bad feeling about the one we're booked in for tomorrow night though.... I can smell a cancellation
  7. Looks like a Tonepump with the cover missing maybe? Did you go for the Superlight version?
  8. Just sold my Berg cab to Marshall. Quick transaction and collection and a great bloke (and player!). Highly recommended :-)
  9. They last for yonks! Great strings :-)
  10. Get a roadie and he can slide the castors off for you?
  11. I think its a good idea - you can just have a mooch through and see if anything takes your fancy rather than having a grand plan.......
  12. There's gotta be a catch... 🤔
  13. Put them on their side???
  14. She's had ear problems in both ears since puppyhood unfortunately. Antibiotics every few months for one or the other. But this time its got really bad and she needs to be put out while they get in there to try and clean it up (possibly twice) so its going to be expensive. And we think the insurance wont cough up for this one.
  15. Great! That solves my vet bill issue :-)
  16. For Sale SOLD! Bergantino CN212 neo bass cab in excellent condition 700w 4 ohm Front ported Weighs just 46lbs Berg cover included Bought this from @Dood just a couple of weeks ago but due to a potentially hefty vet bill for Pongo on the horizon i need to move it on to free some cash up 😞 I'm gutted as i've gigged it a few times and it sounds fabulous and is a doddle to shift around due to the narrow design and light weight - no skinned knuckles or backache with this baby! Collection from near Bishops Stortford (Essex/Herts border) or I'm happy to meet/deliver within reason by arrangement (Herts/Essex/London/Kent/Suffolk areas I guess) Pictures below - you're welcome to take the dog instead if you think you can afford the vets bill to get her ear fixed.....(Hmmnnn - that's a plan as I could keep the cab then...)
  17. Even at the full money that's a pretty good price including an ok amp
  18. The Gallery, Wunjos and if you go to the Gallery you may as well pop into Guitar Guitar on Camden as its a 10 minute walk away.
  19. Comes with an amp as well.......double bargain........
  20. We use one at every gig. Drummer bought it about 2 years ago because our frontman has a loud stage monitor and it usually points straight at the drums. We initially thought we would only use it at the noisier gigs but we use it all the time now as we've found it tightens up the sound a lot - it takes the edge off a bloody loud kit and he's a bit of a hard hitter so it makes us more pub friendly. It's an interesting conversation piece for the crowd too - we usually get a few asking about it at the gigs. And if it gets a bit rowdy we can all pile in behind it.... The only downside is that it weighs a ton!
  21. Snagged a Berg cab off Dan today. Top bloke, easy to deal with, knowledgeable and great tea! Cheers buddy!
  22. I thought it only polite to wait until Dood had finished typing before I nabbed it 😂
