  1. Second gig of the year for Yellowhouse and another packed house in a good venue in Essex - we were expecting January to be quiet but it's been great so far. We've been running with dep singers for nearly 5 months now as ours is broken and it's been a really positive experience. It's got us off autopilot and learning to keep our ears open much more and i've really enjoyed it.
  2. First bit of feed back for Elliott! He just bought an amp from me, lovely bloke and dead easy to deal with. All good and welcome to the money pit!
  3. The guys on the 2024 Gear Abstinence thread must be sweating How is this still even here? Best bargain of the entire year 🙂
  4. Update..... Day 2..... Still in.... Yay.... 🙂
  5. And you snuck in just before the 2024 Gear Abstinence thread went live, super classy!!! 🙂
  6. Now sold Sony wireless outfit - bought as a back up as i've used one for about 10 years but I've never needed to use the spare one! (I knew that would happen) Part of my grand 'New Toy Relief' cash generating exercise.... https://pro.sony/en_GB/products/dwz-series-wireless-packages/dwz-b30gb What's good about it? Bombproof metal transmitter powered by 2 AA batteries (I use rechargeables and can reliably get 2 gigs and a couple of rehearsals out of them so well over 8 hours). The battery door won't fall off and if you drop it you will break your foot not the transmitter. It has a metal strap/belt clip and is also small enough to be comfy in a pocket. The receiver goes on the pedalboard and runs from standard 9v or 12v power supply or even batteries. Easily switched frequencies to avoid any clashes and it also has a DI output. There is a cable tone attenuator if you need it. It comes with a pouch thingy. In 10 years (about 50 gigs a year) of using my original one I have never had an issue - no taxi's, drop outs, odd noises or dead batteries mid gig. Not a single one.... It's massively cheaper than a Shure GLX system. The price includes postage within the UK. What's bad about it? Nothing.....apart from you'll probably use it forever and that takes all the fun out of getting something new You're welcome to come and try it out whilst emptying the biscuit jar and I'll knock the postage off Thanks for looking 🙂 Here's a review...Dood looks a bit odd in it though
  7. SOLD You know what these things do!!!! The secret sauce pedal.... Velcro on the undercarriage and has been on the pedalboard since day 1 so used but VGC I'm trying to generate some dosh for a new toy (and only really need an emergency DI so happy to entertain an exchange for something with a DI output and cash my way) Can post at buyers cost or you can come round and empty the biscuit jar too Thanks for looking 🙂
  8. Count me in, I'm nothing if not a trier!!!!
  9. My apologies - I only remembered seeing the black or honey blonde as the nitro Lacquer options
  10. The black nitro one is the same. I think the Fiesta red one is a poly finish
  11. Oooh a Classic Lacquer nitro one too. Rare and a lovely bass. GLWTS
  12. I've just done a quick phone video of the bass being used if anyone wants to hear it to check out how it sounds. Done in a high quality recording studio through a Neve console and at exactly 3.17am in the morning because everyone knows the air sounds better at that time. Oh and I got Jaco to play it.....or maybe not......Drop me a message and I'll send it over....
  13. At least an hour I'm afraid and the A12 is borked with roadworks on top of that!
  14. If it's an ABM600 push the shape button in (to turn it off weirdly!), turn the compressor off, don't use the sub octave thingy. Then eq it with your ears and not your eyes. You can seriously whack up some of the frequencies to get the sound going. They're amazingly flexible amps in my opinion - one of the few I would have back in a heartbeat. If it's an ABM500 throw it in the bin......
  15. It's got a pretty flat fretboard so would probably work well
  16. SOLD Purchased recently to alleviate my back issues as it's super light at 3.5kg but I've realised I'm a 4 string kind of guy and could do with the cash to put into something else (but at some point I'm definitely going to grab the 4 string version!) I've added great quality fretboard stickers and side dots and the previous owner added a second strap button to improve the playing position (the paint chipped a little when he did this so it's covered with some black tape so doesn't look bad) Probably one of the best necks I've ever played - lovely dark roasted birdseye maple fingerboard, a great flat profile and solid as a rock. Truss rod functions perfectly. Active/passive modes and a sweepable mid along with bass and treble controls. Takes regular strings and I've just restrung it with 125 -40 Dunlop Superbright Steels. Comes with the Ibanez gig bag. Priced at what I bought it for plus what I've put in to it. Collect from near Stansted Airport (I'm 4 minutes from J7a of the M11) or can meet/deliver by arrangement depending on your location. Sorry, but I don't like posting stuff.
  17. I've been using a Digitech Drop pedal recently and its pretty good.
  18. How about a Source Audio Atlas instead and have a squillion different compressors in one box?
  19. A great song from back in the 80's that I thought nobody else had heard. But why have you only done the main riff bit?
  20. Proper Vicious Lesbians encounter?????
  21. The Herald in Harlow....how did it go there?
  22. Mesa BB750 for sale One of the best rock amps ever made and increasingly hard to find. I have 2 and would like to release some cash for something else. I rotate it with the other one at each gig so it's used regularly. If you need some slam in your sound this will do the trick! Sounds incredible with the valve driven front end and a valve also driving the FET power amp. 750 watts at 2 ohms 500 watts at 4 ohms Perfect working order and includes the footswitch to engage the overdrive channel. Housed in a 3u rack case. No shipping option so collection or a meet up somewhere is preferred. I have biscuits and a cab in the house.
  23. I think it looks like a bit like the Bass Direct shop site in Warwick, UK. It's not their normal site but looks very similar so maybe a scammer has cloned the site? Maybe give them a call via their normal contact details?
  24. Nope, they sound fine to me too
