TRADED!.. MusicMan Stingray 2 EQ 4 strings (1997)

Now Traded thanks ☺ Due to a rather rash incoming Stingray purchase my one in, one out policy has kicked in........ USA Musicman Sterling H 4 string bass in good condition. 1999 vintage and she's a stunner in one of the best colours in my opinion. Honeyburst with a nice grain, lovely played in birdseye oiled/wax maple neck and a white scratchplate. 3 band eq, ceramic pickup, 3 way series/parallel/humbucking switch. The neck profile is the slim jazz style rather than the Stingray/Precision width. I would rate her as a 8.5/10 good gigged condition - there are 2 tiny dings in the laquer on the top edge and a couple of tiny scuffs on the bottom edge. The neck has a little 1cm scratch on the rear right where i put my thumb at the fifth fret - its actually kind of comforting to be honest! The headstock has the usual couple of scuffs from low pub ceilings that most MM basses seem to accumulate. For a 17 year old bass shes in good shape though. A good gigbag is included or could possibly be persuaded to give up my Hiscox case for a bit extra. Any trial welcomed - i have amps or headphones available- and i am near Stansted Airport / Bishops Stortford/ Harlow. I would prefer not to post the moment. Delivery is possible in Herts/Essex/Kent/bits of London by arrangement. £750 Hope you dont mind me using your piccys psychoandy!

Got them on all 3 of my basses and consider them essential bits of kit. The only time I ever had any trouble with tuning was on a Spector with a brass nut - the string slots were a bit sharp and it seemed to hang up on the nut when returning to tension.

TC ELECTRONIC 750 amp. Having problems and need advice/help

Yup, as above - a dodgy cable sounds the most likely culprit -
Now, about Sex on Fire.........................................

Barefaced Big Twin 2, worth the upgrade from my 4x12 rig?
Mudpup replied to Ruck's topic in Amps and Cabs
I run a GK RB700ii into a pair of gen3 Big Baby's which is very similar to what you're looking at. It's a great rig and I have no issues with lack of dispersion. You will have to re eq quite a bit though - it's the only rig I've used where I have to drop the bass back to 9 o'clock to stop the window s falling out in the pubs. I used to have a couple of GK MBE212 cabs and found they were a lot muddier and grittier sounding - don't know how they compare to the Neos though. -
Someone's mentioned chorus before. What's the trick to that great sound?
A chorus pedal should sort it..... ☺

Be careful with the resale values of Warwick amps, they never seem to hold their value. The other stuff mentioned - especially the Aggie stuff - seems to be very easy to sell on if you don't get on with them.........just something to consider if you aren't sure you'll like the sound.

Its a brilliant "trigger" song - guaranteed to get loads of vino'ed up girlies up front and singing halfway thru the second set. I am fortunate to play with a brill drummer who absolutely nails it as above. I love playing it - as long as you nail the chorussy intro and "where do we go" stabby bits you can kick back on the rest of it and enjoy yourself.
Hi I've previously used B2s and G2s, and I'm looking to upgrade. I've had a look at the B1on, B3 and MS60, and would be grateful for any advice on which one I should go for. What I want from the pedal is: 1. To be able to switch a patch/effect on (starting from normal signal/sound) and off mid song, like a standard stomp box; 2. To be able to switch from Patch A to Patch B (so for a solo) then back to Patch A, during a song. I've had a look, and they all seem to contain the effects I want, which are 7 band EQ, amp modelling, noisegate, drive/fuzz, octave and synths, along with a couple of extra toys. I don't really care about loopers, drum machines or recording abilities/syncing. I'm not sure about the look and plasticness of the B1on, and like the look of the B3 and MS60, but obviously the MS60 is a fair bit cheaper, which is nice, but seems to have less on the floor control abilities. What would people recommend?
You can do all of this with an MS60b. I use it in a similar way. You just need a couple of patches set as bypass (or the amp model you normally use) and also a few with your desired effect or a clean boost for your solo. Then you assign them the A,B,C,D etc tags in the order you are most likely to need them. I typically have - A - bypass B - chorus for Sweet Child of Mine C - Bypass D - SVT model E- bypass F - Opto Comp And then a load more stuff up to H! Each time you stomp it, it jumps thru and you always have a quickly accessible clean sound. Sounds complex but its actually pretty easy. You can go thru the whole lot in a couple of seconds easily. The key is always having that bypass set inbetween effected patches. Ps i have a B1on as well for home practice but dont use iit live, the MS60b is much more useable ina live situation. Havent tried a B3 but its on the xmas list......

Sony DWZ B30 here too......... 1 year old doing at least one gig every weekend and its been faultless in every way. Got mine from Thomanns for £130 last year and they were originally over £300. Metal transmitter with a good clip, 2 gigs easily out of every set of rechargeable batteries, compact receiver runs on mains or battery and sits happily on my pedalboard. Highly recommended and Thomann still have some here http://www.thomann.de/gb/sony_dwz_b30gb_guitar_set.htm

4 months old? That's not very long for a premium priced product to last. I'd have a polite word with the retailer and possibly email Mono too. See what happens from there.

Have I just blown all the cabs I own? Sorted! Thanks guys
