1.
Hi I've previously used B2s and G2s, and I'm looking to upgrade. I've had a look at the B1on, B3 and MS60, and would be grateful for any advice on which one I should go for. What I want from the pedal is: 1. To be able to switch a patch/effect on (starting from normal signal/sound) and off mid song, like a standard stomp box; 2. To be able to switch from Patch A to Patch B (so for a solo) then back to Patch A, during a song. I've had a look, and they all seem to contain the effects I want, which are 7 band EQ, amp modelling, noisegate, drive/fuzz, octave and synths, along with a couple of extra toys. I don't really care about loopers, drum machines or recording abilities/syncing. I'm not sure about the look and plasticness of the B1on, and like the look of the B3 and MS60, but obviously the MS60 is a fair bit cheaper, which is nice, but seems to have less on the floor control abilities. What would people recommend?
You can do all of this with an MS60b. I use it in a similar way. You just need a couple of patches set as bypass (or the amp model you normally use) and also a few with your desired effect or a clean boost for your solo. Then you assign them the A,B,C,D etc tags in the order you are most likely to need them. I typically have - A - bypass B - chorus for Sweet Child of Mine C - Bypass D - SVT model E- bypass F - Opto Comp And then a load more stuff up to H! Each time you stomp it, it jumps thru and you always have a quickly accessible clean sound. Sounds complex but its actually pretty easy. You can go thru the whole lot in a couple of seconds easily. The key is always having that bypass set inbetween effected patches. Ps i have a B1on as well for home practice but dont use iit live, the MS60b is much more useable ina live situation. Havent tried a B3 but its on the xmas list......

9. Sony DWZ B30 here too......... 1 year old doing at least one gig every weekend and its been faultless in every way. Got mine from Thomanns for £130 last year and they were originally over £300. Metal transmitter with a good clip, 2 gigs easily out of every set of rechargeable batteries, compact receiver runs on mains or battery and sits happily on my pedalboard. Highly recommended and Thomann still have some here http://www.thomann.de/gb/sony_dwz_b30gb_guitar_set.htm
10. 4 months old? That's not very long for a premium priced product to last. I'd have a polite word with the retailer and possibly email Mono too. See what happens from there.
11. That's gotta be a dodgy cable.....and have you tried a different bass?
12. Turn it down a bit?
13. Wireless transmitter for the guitars and vox Velcro cable tidies to roll up excess cables Large thin rubber mat (believe its an old darts runner) to go over the cables on the floor Nice and tidy!

15. Richard just bought my Elixir strings today.Top bloke, easy transaction!
16. I have one of these. Tends to be my main bass ahead of a Sandberg PM4 and a USA MM Sterling. Makes you struggle to get your head around the "cheapest bass is my favourite" syndrome......
17. Chilli Peps version of Higher Ground has to be in there.......
18. Pmed Lee I'm guessing I didn't get both steel sets as per my original post? I was on the beach.....
19. Hi LeeMan I would like both the 45 gauge sets please but am on holiday till 18 August. Can pay pal next few days ( I have Ltd web access) but could you not post till i get back? If its a pain, no problem I understand. Cheers Jon
20. Wireless is great! Wouldnt go back to cables now. Isolated from the mains. Can have a listen properly at soundchecks. Can go for a pooch around at big gigs. Not tangled up at tiny gigs. No accidental lead pulling out moments or leads going wonky cos theyve been trodden on or tripped over. I have a Sony DWZ system (£150) which has a bombproof metal transmitter and clip and a receiver the size of a boss effect that sits on my board powered from my Diago thingy. Used it for about 60 gigs in 18 months with not a single issue. Nada interference, batteries dying unexpectedly etc..... Highly recommended. http://cvp.com/index.php?t=product/sony_dwz-b30gb-k
21.
The EBMM Sterling has parallel, single coil and series switching. The single coil mode is hum free by using a third "dummy" coil. Don't think that the parallel and series modes offer two vastly different sounds, it doesn't. Both sounds are signature MusicMan sounds, differences are small IMO.
I have a USA Sterling and that switch gives 3 completely different sounds. Bridge position is getting near a Stingray if you cut the mids, central is a bit more Fendery and neck position is much fatter and warmer.
22. I've used egilegorbasses on Spanish eBay too and had great service.....
23. Open to offers, they're just sat in a box looking bored!!!!
