    Keeping it dropped to D should be fine. Its just a screw resting on a cam that's pulled by string tension.

    Buy the right detuner??? Seriously though, which one did you get? I have one and it fitted perfectly.

    Those Yam 424's are awesome basses for the money - only moved it on cos I couldn't get on with the neck profile. The sound was superb!

If you roll the tone back its lovely for finger style. Its a great versatile bass - you have massive precision on the front pickup, round and burly on just the bridge and then a scoopy zing thang with both pickups on.

    Now Sold thanks Korg Pandora Stomp Now price dropped to £50 collected or £58 posted insured/signed for. Programmable multi effect stomp box, drum machine, Pitchblack tuner, aux in, headphone out, bass and guitar amp models and effects. Warranty replacement item just received from Korg but surplus to req now so brand new and only taken out of box for these pics.     As above, get the muff up out of the way early then relax and enjoy. It's great innit - I used to play about 4 gigs a year 20 years ago, retired for 15 years then got back into playing and now doing about 45/50 gigs a year and loving every one of them with no nerves whatsoever!

    Just received a new Korg Pandora Stomp as a warranty replacement for a faulty item. Its not even opened. Its a multi fx stompbox for guitar and bass with a Pitchblack tuner and drum looper built in. Also has headphone out/aux in for home practice.     Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime Absolute classic rock opera with Eddie Jacksons amazing bass sound (turned me on to the whole Spector/Sansamp grind along with Dirt by Alice in Chains....) I think I played it every day for a year and then they followed it up with Empire which was also awesome. Standout tracks for me are - Suite Sister Mary - just lush... Spreading the Disease - for the sneaky little playing outside the box lead run in the solo Breaking the Silence - that bass sound! I Don't Believe in Love - that bass sound again and the tortured vocals Eyes of a Stranger - great closing track
