1. Those Peavey prices are mad........ You could run it for free for a couple of years and still not lose much if you pass it on Wow
2. He's in Angel, Islington, London according to the 1st post
3.
When you say did i have it engaged? Where's the switch?
Its the left hand button in the "signal shape" section. Push it in.
4. Ian bought my Hartke pedal Top bloke and easy to deal with Cheers Jon
5. Right, thats sorted then. Now, answer the polar bear question please...........
6. Try a Roland Bass Cube 20XL Its got loads of features, modelling, headphone out, tuner and is pretty tiny with a bigger sound than you'd expect.
7. Impossible to guess what its worth without specific info. Just get the serial number and email PJ Rubal at Spector. He'll fill you in on everything you need and you can go from there with the valuation thing.
8.
I might have a look at a Big Baby II.
Dont do that, its shorter. That'll just whack you in the bollox instead
9.
I really can't understand why this hasn't sold. I've played a sunburst one of these in a shop several times. Yours is much cheaper and much better looking. It also has my preferred pup combination and Sandburgs own. If it had 5 strings I would have found the money for this somehow. GLWTS
I can only think its the finish thats slowing it up. I looked at this last time it was up and ended up getting a more traditional finished blackburst one due to the fact that i thought it was a bit marmite - if you like it you'll really love it otherwise its just not for you and theres just no compromise with it. I had one eye on the possible resale when i bought mine. Having said that, i absolutely love my PM4. It sounds so gutsy and it almost plays itself. You wont regret it if you go for it.
10. Knob check - nada sorry! Theyre about somewhere though so would be no problem to post them on when they show up. But honestly, you cant see the settings with them anyway
11.
Have you still got the old knobs?
Not sure I'll check later
12.
Great idea with the more readable knobs! How does the di fair in terms of "noiseiness"?
Sorry, never had to use the DI so cant say honestly Yup, those original knobs were a stupid design - cant see the settings in any light with them. These were only a couple of quid but make a much better job of it. I reckon some black rubber ones with white bits would be even better too
13. Here u go Sorry dodgy lighting content Can do better over the weekend if required Good nick but tried to show a couple of tiny scratches on the front
14.
I was right but i take it its now not worth £500
Reckon about £300 if you wanted to sell it BUT Its a much better bass than its worth (does that make sense?????) and you still got a real bargain I had an NS2000/4 which was a cracking bass
15.
I'll fish it out of the gigbag later and post them up
Here you go....using the clockface method Drive...2 Treble...2 Bass...11.30 Level...maxed Presence...2 Blend...12 Amp set completely flat but with bass boost engaged Compression drivers on cabs backed off about 25%
16.
What settings are you running on the BDI21?
I'll fish it out of the gigbag later and post them up
17. I've just done 2 gigs with my new Thomann review voucher funded Berry BDI21. Its bloody awesome for the money. My Sandberg/Genz Shuttle9.2/ Barefaced BB2 x 2 gig rig sounds huge. Fat, warm, slamming and with a real lovely tingle up top with a set of new strings. Probably the best £18 bit of kit you'll ever get. Trouble is, its made me want a Sansamp VT Deluxe programmable thingy to play with now...........
18. [s]For Sale[/s] SOLD Hartke VXL Bass Attack pre amp/di box - i'm sure you know what it is http://www.samsontec...dals/vxlattack/ Its sat in the bag and not getting used so might as well get shot of it.......... Will pop pics up Sunday VGC and no faults I have changed the knobs to ones you can actually see the markers on (unlike the original chrome ones which were bloody impossible to see) Would px for a Tech 21 VT bass pedal (must be mark 2 version with speaker defeat on it) or a VT Bass Deluxe with cash adjustment from me Collection from Herts/Essex border or will post at cost Cheers for looking :-)
19.
Thanks for that, I think if thats the case then the BDI would probably be the one for me as I can get all the fattness and big sound I want out of my various valve heads and my SWR500. Not suggesting my SWR sounds like a B15 . . . . but I think Rumble Heads are close to the SVT sound ? Shame I can't get an online supplier to send me both rack units so I can try them out and then keep one and return the other ! . . . wouldn't that be an amazing online service !! Cheers,
Try Thomann.......
20. I believe the VT version is aimed towards the Ampeg SVT and B15 baked in sound and the BDI is a less coloured preamp.
21.
Cheers but I never got on with the vxl
Okeydokey, glwts :-)
22. Interested in a Hartke VXL Bass Attack plus a bag of money?
