1.
Wasent this on Ebay recently? I sadly missed it! and I will have to miss it again Joe, if you aquire this i'll have it off you when you decide to move it on.
Just waiting for some pictures and I'm almost definitely gonna have this. Can't imagine it not being for keeps either I'm afraid Rob. Unlike yourself I don't tend to part with many basses, particularly not all black, vintage US made beauties.
2. I was wondering too, says £40 posted in his sig.
3. Haha, nobody have any ideas then? I don't think anyone really makes one like I'm after do they?
4. Argghhhhhhhh..... hmmmmmm Edit: Not interested in p/x with any of this are you? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=119874
5. Haha, cheers chaps. Yea it's me on the last two Rose Kemp albums (Unholy Majesty and Golden Shroud). I've been looking into getting the blend built into the looper but might just get a x-blender. This board is mostly being used for my band ANTA right now http://www.anta.me.uk Touring in May!
6. Interested in any of this for trade: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=119874
7. Yea, the Rat is set up for very mild overdrive, the Drivemaster is high gain drive. Debating whether I need separate LS2's though really, it's just that I need to switch from one to the other in one stomp and as they're totally different shapes it's a bit of a pain to do smoothly.
8. IT HAS TIERS!!! You're not wrong mate. I really never thought I'd get so organised but it feels so so good haha. So nice to have it a reasonable size, it's been so unmanageable for such a long time.
9. New board and complete overhaul from me: Signal path: In - ZVEX SHO - split: A (main/bass) - Pitch black -> LS2 (clean blended Rat) -> LS2 (clean blended Drivemaster) -> Loop (Ch.B of RE-20) -> stereo volume -> Stereo Memory Man Ch.A B (fx/octave up) - Octron -> Enigma -> Loop (Mold Spore wah) -> Vesta Fire -> Ch.A of RE-20 -> PH-2 -> Master mute -> stereo volume -> Reflector -> Stereo Memory Man Ch.B So, so, pleased. Taken such a long time to get it this sorted. Still gotta upgrade the main looper and volume pedal but this is working really really well. Going into a '69 SVT (or Sunn 1200s) and Aguilar GS412 for A and Ampeg V4 or Burman and GS412 for B.
10. Does any one know of a stereo optical volume pedal that's not plastic and is compact? I was considering the Visual Volume one but it's just a bit too big and am not really into spending that much on a plastic pedal. I have an Ernie Ball 6165 that needs the cord replaced and am using a cheapo £13 eBay one for the time being.
11. If the AGRO or Electronix become available again I'll take either.
12. sh*t, if you decide not to keep it I'll probably have it.
13.
You'd never use a cabinet mic solo. It should be used in combination with a good DI. The microphone is there just to add that bass power/tone to it that you just can't get from DI alone. Hence using what is primarily a bass drum microphone. You don't need to rely on it to reproduce everything, it's there to do a specific job in supplementing the DI, and a microphone like the e602 does that best.
Definitely agree on principle about mixing DI and mic but have to disagree about the e602. You want mids and highs from the mic and the e602 scoops loads of the important mids out. Check it's frequency response:
14. Another vote against the scooped kick mics. My faves are EV RE-20, Sennheiser MD421, Beyer M88 and Shure SM7B. All of which are high quality dynamics with a very flat response.
15. I'm watching that too. It belongs to a member on here I believe.
16. Cracking amp.
17. This 1 day listing on eBay may well end up being a bit of a bargain: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/akg-rhythm-pack-1-DA...d#ht_500wt_1156
18. Also, what kind of music are you playing?
19. I'd definitely go for used individual mics. Do you need overheads and tom mics?
20. It's finally time for me to scale down my board so my beast is up for sale. It's a proper flight case and has kept all my pedals safe on countless tours around the UK and Europe including a few flights. It has a fair few scratches but is still fully functional. As shown in one of the pics, the hinges were replaced at one point so there are a couple of tiny holes from the old ones, never been a problem though. Internal dimensions: 90.5 x 53 x 12.5cm £50 Ideally looking for collection from Bristol but could probably courier for around £15 I guess. Interested in a similarly built small board too as trade, ideally around 45x30cm.
