1.
Of course, so would I... and then fit it with an IEC .
Yes, but in this case he can't modify it as it isn't his so it's not getting used at all.
2. Yea I know all that but I'm sure I read it's legal to have them on vintage gear that would lose it's value if modified. No? I'm just saying that personally, if it was a choice between using a good amp with a bulgin or a bad amp with an IEC I'd choose the good amp.
3.
Wheres that issue come from? Didn't crank it that much, gain channel sounded aids, so ran it clean. Tried a vintage modern (if thats what you meant by MV) didn't think much of it tbh. Really only used the JCM600 cause I have it about. Have a 70s carlsbro 100w head thats more the part, but its also got the dodge power lead and isn't really mine to change.
I really think you're worrying too much about the bulgin thing. As long as you unplug it from the wall before the amp and make sure you have a spare, whats the issue?
4. This was really good when it was working. Really well made too. Come on, someone take it out of our living room!
5. This thing is amazing and I'm so jealous. The pics don't do it justice, it's beautiful. As far as biasing goes, if it's running too hot it will sound amazing but die quicker, if it's too cold the valves will last an age but sound weak. Can't wait to hear this thing with a new speaker. The current driver sounds ok at low volumes but is very farty when slightly pushed. You can tell the amp sounds great though. What do peeps reckon to this speaker: http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=BAC...de=manufacturer
6.
£35 for the three
7. You can do similar things with a DD6 by momentarily holding down the pedal in loop mode. Not quite as cool though.
8. Tempted by your Bass Micro Synth but am also tempted to just go the whole hog and buy a new XO one as I could really use the space too.
9. Hi, Sorry, completely forgot about this. Still up for it if they're going, got Bad Taste already though ta. What're we looking at for postage you reckon?
10. Argh! My dream Jazz. Presume theres been some routing for those EMG's then? Rough price in mind? PM me if you'd rather.
11.
Up for grabs is: Level 42 - Live At Wembley This is Spinal Tap Police - Synchronicity tour plus I also have a few Peter Jackson films: The Frighteners Bad Taste Braindead Meet the Peebles and also Monty Pythons 'Now For Something Completely Different'. Can send for the cost of postage.
Ooh, would it be really cheeky to ask for all but Level 42, Police and Bad Taste?
12.
You should be asking yourself why Paul Turner is selling his 77 Stingray...
I was wondering that. I've played it briefly and it was lovely, really nice Ray with loads of 'mojo'. Fancy telling us how much he's asking?
13. Having seen and heard this, I don't think it's that beat up and is a great amp for the money.
14. Looked into Aguilar? I reckon a DB412 or DB212 would be a good bet as they're loud, have a great vintage vibe and have high sensitivity, so would get the best out of your amp. 12" speakers are a great middle ground between 10's and 15's in my experience.
15. Hehe, still sounds kinda misleading, sounds like it's not made yet. Sorry. Ignore me I'm just being a git.
16. Thanks for the PM John, will have to assess my finance over the next few days. Definitely still interested though.
17. Looks nice but is the title not a tad misleading?
18. Yes yes yes! Amazing.
19. Nooooooooooooooooo..... Been watching this with such frustration for the last few months. Bagsy dibs if you ever sell up Robbie. Have the rackmount tranny version of this and it is amazing.
20. PM'd.
21. Awesome. So bloomin' jealous.
22. Played one of these in my local shop the other day in Sunburst and it was really lovely. Much nicer than the MIA P they had in. Your one is in a better colour though IMO. I'd stick a black plate on too, lush.
23. Bargain. Great for a stereo bass.
24. It doesn't look like any of the old Musicman sunburst finishes I've seen but wouldn't like to say for sure either way if it's a refin or not.
