1.
Im just after a really transparant low gain unit now, which this doesnt pull off. so £25, shipped.
Sounds like you need the Bad Monkey I bought off you back.
2. Can't lump all Marshall heads together though. I have played through older guitar ones which were awesome but honestly, the JCM900 was horrible. From experience I'd suggest either an old 70's one or a Bass Series one, or using it alongside a bass specific amp.
3. I'm not all that bothered really if the price is right.
4.
just saw this today http://www.gaffertape.com/
Great link for tour supplies! Thanks.
5.
do you play in rose kemps band? if so the bass sounded mint in leeds the other day! amps owned ashdown mag 300 wariwck pro tube IV warwick tube path 10.1 ampeg svt classic cabs bought and sold over the past 5 years in order hartke 1/15 warwick 410 warwick 411 pro matamp 410 fender 115 ampeg 610 ampeg 215 best looking/sound/everything ampeg svt classic into an 810 although the warwick tubepath into two warwick 411 pro's was awesome and stupidly loud. lots of sub frequency! very versitile amp too. i just prefer valve amps these days, i feel like you can really hear the instrument, it just sounds a lot more organic. at the mo i'm using an svt classic into an ampeg 6x10 and an old ampeg 2x15, sounds mint but i'm selling the ampeg now tho to get a matamp. can't wait! i got one of the new ampegs and although it sounds awesome i dont think the build quality is anything like it was when they were still made in america. i live in poverty for amps. in terms of pedals i think the less connections and circuits between your bass and your speakers the better, so no thanks! tuner + overdrive + delay/looper is all ya need!
Yea, thats me, thanks very much, added the JCM800 since that post. You in These Monsters then? You guys were amazing, really bloody good.
6. Yea, the Jamman has its own AC supply. Don't think you could run it off anything similar to the Power Plant as they don't tend to do AC. Having said that, the Line6 modeller pedals (DL4, FL4, MM4 etc) run off 9v AC supplys and apparently work ok from a DC supply. Not tried it though.
7. It's not a case of not wanting it.
8. Damn. Just bought a DBX 160x a few days ago. May still be interested in a second though if I can raise the cash soon enough.
9. Yup, Mr Foxen has a jcm600 he might be persuaded to part with.
10.
Used it as a guitar amp for years amazing
Used the JCM900 50w version for a couple of days and hated it. Sold it and got a JCM800 bass series 100w which is great.
11. Just bought an 8 string (octave pairs) and the thought of tuning that terrifies me, let alone restringing it.
12. Phwoar. Lovely bass.
13. Where are you based? May well be interested.
14. Probably just got gaids.
15. Yup, I love 'em too. Them and Pearl ones are getting me going at the moment. I now have the Pearl phaser, flanger and chorus and love them all.
16. Bought a Behringer bass od off Dangerboy that was pretty close. Can't remember but think it might have been £7
17. I'm in Bristol and could really really use this! Off on tour tomorrow but very interested if you happen to be out my way any time soon.
18. Yup, bargain. Love mine to bits. If i wasn't so broke I'd have it as a spare.
19. I presume you're using a stereo lead?
20.
That bloke just buys and sells everything, I believe that bass was on ebay not long ago was it not?
Seems like a nice chap from his profile. Gorgeous kittens.
21. Oh dear, the guy they had with them this time was pretty good. Not as good as our guy though. He is a German sound wizard. In Plymouth tonight, looks like it's gonna be a late one, up really early tomorrow too as we have a radio session in London at 11am. This is turning into a bit of a tour diary really.
22. I don't think you punched yourself hard enough having heard about your sixth cab purchase. Perhaps I can be of some assistance. Off on tour today guys but will be checking here regularly and taking the bridge all packed up with me so I can send it straight on if anyone buys it.
