Saw Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings the other night on Jools Holland and was really intrigued by the bassists cool looking bass. After a bit or research, it turns out it's an olc short scale 1969 Carvin 77-AGB. I used to have a more modern Carvin Jazz type but has anyone seen anything like this about anywhere? As mentioned on here before, I have Paul Turner's Aguilar GS412. Nice bloke, had to go to JK's to test it before I bought it.

When I sam them at ATP last year they were using Ampeg 810's. Loads of them. At least four or five I think, possibly more.

I used to be able to get pulsing drones and synth like sounds out of an EQ pedal. Not sure if it would work with all feedback loops though. Otherwise more or less any modulation effects work well.
