1. Very, very interested if you'd consider couriering it.
2. Very, very interesting, gonna try it now. Cheers! How did you find out about it?
3. Will take it if so..
4. Does the reverb trail carry on after you hit bypass on these?
5. Aww that's gutting, sorry mate I was watching it closely too. Am totally, totally broke at the moment but still struggled not to bid.
6. As someone who can only play on top of the fretboard I think it looks awesome. Bet it has terrible neck dive though.
7. Well, after some fiddling about with my FX in rehearsal today I've totally nailed it and am happier than ever. I use two amps for different pedals (SVT for low end with an Xotic BB clone/SFT and a B25B for all my more extreme FX) and just needed to tweak the chain a bit. Weirdly, I found the RD sounded too fizzy with my Rat (even with the filter most of the way up) so went back to using my Drivemaster which has a 3 band EQ and it sounds IMMENSE. Might still try some half rounds if I can find some long and heavy enough. Cheers for everyones input.
8. That wouldn't cover the routs for the pickups on my Artist would it? Plus the pickups on the Artist are passive anyway so not really the issue I don't think. Half rounds are an interesting idea, I have some on my Rickenblacker and love them, will have to source some extra long scale ones and try them out.
9. Totally understand where everyone is coming from saying I should keep it original but it seems everyone is ignoring the word 'reversible' I keep using. I really mean totally, completely reversible. I'm not throwing anything away or making any new routs or holes.. At all. Don't want a new one (or new anything) either I'm afraid Rob. A custom build just ain't for me.
10. Hmm, that's interesting. Thanks for the info. Pretty tempted by the Standard now. I don't even remotely have the cash for it though and don't think I could sell the Artist in the next couple if days. Don't think I could bare to sell it anyway, even if I had a Standard coming in..
11. Been after one of these for a reasonable price for a while but I'm in Bristol
12. That's cool the pickups are passive, cheers Rob. Was watching the RD Standard, don't fancy the Jazz pickups though, pretty keen on humbuckers. I'm gonna get Waghorn Guitars to carefully take the electronics out I reckon, he's already given it a look over with that in mind and reckons it can be done neatly and in a way that is completely reversible. Have faith people, I'm not gonna ruin my baby! The Novoselic sig is a completely different beast really, has bugger all of the vintage feel of my RD which is what I love about it. Love the maple board on the original too.
13. Haha. Nah, any mods I make will have to be completely reversible. I'd keep the electronics somewhere safe so I could put them back if I ever decided to sell it on.
14. Reckon taking the electronics out might help the only other thing I'd change about it too - the weight
15. Hi all, I'm absolutely in love with my RD I got from Shockwave. I feel totally at home with regards to the feel, looks and ergonomics, It plays amazingly. It seems to be 'the one' for me. However, I'm just not getting on with the sound. I've always preferred passive growly basses and the RD is just too bright and modern sounding for me once I have all my drive pedals going. Even with the treble down and the Moog comp/expander off. I've looked into just getting a bypass switch added to the preamp but this would require modifying the circuitry and I don't really want to make any irreversible modifications due to its value. So, what I'm considering doing is completely removing the Moog circuit (the pots and everything are all board mounted too I believe), storing it away safely and starting from scratch with just a standard two volume/two tone set up. What I'm wondering though is if anyone knows if the RD humbuckers will work without a preamp? Or, if not what I could put in their place without any extra routing. Think there have been a few RD owners on here, including someone who had passive mudbuckers installed if I remember rightly. Any feedback or suggestions would be gratefully received.
16. Cheers chap, they are splendid indeed. Hardly ever come up for sale secondhand over here too.
17. Selling this mint Audix OM7 microphone. It's the top of the range dynamic stage mic from Audix and has loads of rave reviews. Bought this fairly recently after touring with Porcupine Tree a few years ago and being blown away with how clear these sounded on Steven Wilson's voice. It comes with the Audix mic clip and bag and in good condition with just one small mark by the XLR connector and a very small amount of wear on the grill. Audix blurb: Designed for concert level and touring PA system - low output gain stage provides unprecedented gain before feedback in monitors. The OM7 is used by professional sound companies, front of house and mixing engineers as well as high profile fixed installations. The OM7 provides unprecedented gain before feedback on concert level stages without sacrificing sound quality. In addition, the mic is very resistant to feedback on extremely loud stages and for performers who tend to “cup” the microphone with both hands. In order to achieve these extraordinary performance benefits, the OM7 is designed with an unconventionally low output level (8-10 dB lower than typical dynamic microphones). This low output level acts as a natural “pad” at the capsule in order to maintain high fidelity at the source. The OM7 is best suited for use with high quality mixing consoles which have plenty of head room to compensate for the low gain. Type - Dynamic Polar Pattern - Hypercardioid Frequency Response - 48Hz - 19kHz Impedance - 150 ohms Sensitivity - @1k 0.8 mV/Pa Cheapest I can find online is £160 so I'm after [s]£130[/s]. Price drop to £125 as I can't find the box or manual.

I'll take it. Pm to come shortly.
19. Could you get me some internal measurements please? Need a case for my oversized Gibson RD. Would you courier too?
20. Argh, just bought a new one for my RD Great case though!
21. Probably pretty decent. Quad are very respected amps too. Not a clue what they're worth but might be interested depending on where you are.
22. Maybe interested in a trade (with some cash my way) for a 4u deep full flight type case? Will sort pics if so. It's only been used on one short tour from new.
23. It's mine now and yes It plays beautifully.
24. Very kind indeed Gary, thankyou sir. Unfortunately I just realised it doesn't have an aux input (not sure why I thought it did) so I'm afraid it's no good for me. Sorry to mess you about.
