Are you sure you're running them in series? It's most common to run cabs in parallel I think. It would require some rather unusual cabling to get them in series.

Still umm'ing and ah'ing. May bid on an MXR M88 today as they are apparently quite good but I really like the look of the Micro POG as the octave up and down would be useful as my band recently lost our second guitarist.

I've nicked my dads little 70's Ibanez one and it's awesome. Just has the one knob and no LED but does the job perfectly for now until he wants it back.

Ah yes I remember someone saying that before actually, thanks for the reply. I went and listened to the samples on the Digitech website actually but there doesn't seem to be a sample of the octave down on there. What does it sound like? Does it sound much diferent to the Boss shifters/octavers? Te Boss and Akai ones sound fairly unnatural to my ears, how does the BSW compare then?

Hi, Can anyone recommend an octave pedal or pitch shifter that will track going down an octave on a low D? I know this is ridiculously low and not really neccesary but I need a pedal that will be able to do it. Using a PS-5 st the moment which can't do it. Any suggestions? Budget is pretty low unfortunately. Probably can't stretch to a POG or Bass Whammy, would they do it anyway?

Hi, I'm after a phaser that doesn't affect the low end (maybe only working over 150hz or so) and that isn't too pricey. How is the MXR Phase 90 and 100? My dad has an endorsement with MXR so I can get them cheap if they are suitable. Any suggestions?

Should also mention the bass player in a band I did the sound for last week had one of the 80's solid state versions. Didn't look or sound quite as cool but still sounded really good. He said he only paid £300 for it used too.

They have an old one in the studio I record in. Have used it a few times but I usually end up using it through my cab as I always manage to make the Ampeg one bottom out with my pedalboard. Sounds fantastic when used properly, wouldn't gig with it though.
