1.
Hmmm... so, looking at the whole thing, would you set it up like: Bass -> Amp Amp Fx Send -> Multicomp -> MXR M80+ -> WOBO Looper -> CE-2B -> Amp FX Return WOBO Fx Send -> fx25 -> PH7 -> fx94 -> WOBO Fx Return ?
I wouldn't personally bother using the amp's fx loop. I also wouldn't have the compressor before the envelope filter.
2. Will probably take the Godlyke and accessories if the deal falls through.
3. Is it just an analogue delay that you can mix the dry signal out like my old Carlsbro one?
4. Snarling Dogs Erogenous Moan?
5. King Crimson fan by any chance? :-)
6.
Also an aguilar 4x10 on our FS section which would get a great cab and a few great nights out too!
That gets by vote too. £350 too! Will leave you plenty of cash left over for a nice cover for it.
7.
yes the sabre is wonderful...infact i just sold it right now.....
NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
8. Good grief that Sabre is STUNNING! That is my absolute dream bass right there. Wish I wasn't broke.
9.
Guys, we are talking about Ashdown here. why do you all think its the cab? Kurt, if you are ever passing through Central London you are welcome to try your amp through my UL115 cab.
Fair enough I guess it could well be the amp. He did say he hasn't tried another. The sound he describes sounds very similar to that produced by speakers I've blown in the past though. :-)
10.
Tayste's summed it up well as passive blenders will not work with all pedals. Active blenders like my valve driven Bob-the-Blender buffer the signal and there are no issues. A loop switch without blend will also work with anything as it's a by-pass switch and therefore just routes the signal without any effect. It's the same as unplugging the jacks from one set of pedals and plugging into another set, but a lot quicker when on stage! Dave
Aha, that'll be why my shoddy home-made double looper didn't do it then. Curious about these valve Bob-The-Blender ones. Do you do double or triple ones? How much?
11. Sounds like you need one of these to me: http://www.aguilaramp.com/Merchant2/mercha...ct_Code=JDK12-8 Or, even better, get that then another GS112 so it doesn't happen again! I believe there are a pair for sale at the moment on here.
12. Last bump before I keep it.
13. I've got serious GAS for a Sandberg Basic 4 like that. How does it sound and feel? Does it compare to a Stingray at all?
14.
Usual impedance issues thats why people always recommended the LS-2 because it was active. I can't comment on the DHA blender but I know the Loooper's had some issues with certain pedals they even use to mention it on their site that it might not work in your setup due to various reasons.
What do you mean by 'might not work'? What happens exactly?
15. Me too. That's why it's up for sale and also why I haven't bought that gorgeous pre EB stingray in the bass section.
16. If this doesn't go soon then I'll lose out on the 300t and keep it. Anyone?
17. Did I mention this was loud!? I used it recently at 2/3 on the master at 4 ohms (800w) without PA support at 150+ capacity venues. Can get it to about 4/5 on big festival stages where it's very far away from me and my insides start to turn to mush.
18. Hehe, thanks. The hair comes and goes as it pleases. I play like that as I have wonky arms and can't move them round palm up. It's the only way I can play so I just get on with it. Yea, sorry about the rubbish streaming, it's really temperamental it seems.
19. Not too sure about this but I think I'm gonna offer my Sunn 1200s up for trade. It's basically the same as the Fender Bassman 1200s and is the hybrid version of the Sunn/Fender 300t. It's really versatile and for many bass players has everything you'll ever need. You can get really fat valve clean sounds, lush overdrive and heavy distortion which is all blendable and footswitchable along with the graphic EQ and the multi-band compressor. It is in excellent condition and housed in a proper roadworthy full flightcase and includes the Sunn 3 button footswitch. I really, really love this amp and if there was any way I could keep this and buy Nash's 300t I'd definitely be keeping it. I've had it over a year now I think and it's toured Europe quite a bit and have never had a single problem with it, it's solid as a rock. Specifications Power: 1200 Watts @ 2 Ohms, 800 Watts @ 4 Ohms Dimensions: 19" Wide, 3.5" High, 16" Deep Weight: 35 Lbs Features Two 12AX7 preamp tubes Two channels (clean and dirty with Blend) 10-band graphic EQ with On/Off switch Low and High frequency boost switches Mid-Notch switch (great for slap-style playing) Line Out switch (for selecting pre or post EQ) Two band Compressor with EQ balance and Gain trim FX Loop Power Amp Pass-Through output jack (for chaining multiple units together) Balanced XLR and 1/4” output jacks (post EQ & Effects Loop) Tuner Out jack with Mute switch Three-Function footswitch Only thinking of selling as I have GAS for Nash's 300t. £500
20. Back and theres at least one shot of it in action here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;#entry23447 It did something quite weird at one point I have to say, I had lots of effects on in both channels at one point in two songs and it produced this strange feedback sound. Couldn't figure it out. When I turned off one of the pedals it stopped. Probably more to do with how I set it up as i didn't have much time to play with it before the gig although it didn't do that with the dual loop pedal I made. I am completely penniless now (literally no money whatsoever) I'm afraid so I'll have to post it after I've been paid on Friday. Sorry to those waiting for it. If I can find a way of raising the £6 or so postage before that I'll get it straight off.
21. Also featuring some serious gurning from me too!
22. Featuring the DHA PB-2 and lots of mistakes from me. :-) Was a bit of a weird set as we usually play with another guitarist and the on-stage sound was very weird. I could hear a really big delay between the kick drum in the monitor and the one behind me which didn't help. Anyway, enough excuses. http://www.bbc.co.uk/glastonbury/2007/artists/rosekemp/ or: http://www.bbc.co.uk/glastonbury/2007/player/rosekemp.shtml
23. Argh! Thats my dream Stingray. AND it's in Bristol with me! Why must I be sooo broke?!
24.
We did that already. It's just cos it's new. I guess who ever gets it after Joe will have to wash all the mud off Dave
Hehe, I actually went out today and bought wellies so I could keep my normal shoes clean for stage for this exact reason. :-) Off to the festival in the morning, getting pretty nervous now. Board looks good (if a bit messy) though, she looks right at home don't you think? It's so much smaller than my butchered, home made one. Think I may well have to buy one soon. Could use the extra space for more pedals!
