Maaaay be interested in trades for mics/pro audio gear or FX...possibly. Should go for cash really though.

For sale here we have two Beyerdynamic Opus 66 supercardioid clip on drum microphones.
They are both in pretty much as new condition as far as I can tell and both include the original boxes, clips, cases and documentation.
They are really lovely mics which I prefer to the e604. They were around £129 each before they were discontinued.
Datasheet can be found here

£140 the pair plus postage.
[s]Also for sale is a Sennheiser e609. These are pretty much industry standard guitar cab mics but they are also great on brass, drums and percussion. I particularly liked it on trumpet and even used a pair for stereo room mics to good effect.
This one is in good condition with the clip and case but no box.

Bump for this fantastic comp/gate.

Fair do's. How about a DBX 166XL compressor/gate:

Would want a bit of cash my way though, not much mind.
Alternatively what sort of things might you be after, mics? FX pedals? -
Interested in an e609 + cash your way?

If it's a 1970 than it will be worth slightly more than the later ones (like mine) with the pull out master volume. See if the master volume pot pulls out. I bought a 1975 one recently and the previous owner had had it for over ten years without realising it pulled out for drive.

Haha, nice one Rob. Well, let me know when you wanna part with it

I'll take the SFT, PM coming.
Best mic for miking up?
in General Discussion
Posted
I mic up bass cabs all the time and I usually use a mic with a fairly flat-ish response too. My personal favourites are: Beyerdynamic M88, EV RE20 and the Sennheiser 421 and AKG D12E. No big news there. I also have had very good results from a Beyerdynamic TGX-50 which isn't flat and does have a bit of a scoop.
Generally though, if I didn't have any of the above (although I am lucky enough to have them all in my mic box, bit of a mic hoarder) I'd usually go for a 57 or a 58 with a DI (with a high cut) over a D112 or Beta52a or other scooped kick mic. Depends on the band/bassist/rig/room/style though really...
