I reckon these should do. They also state a data transfer rate, which I find encouraging! https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Braided-Tangle-Free-Gold-Plated-Connectors/dp/B01DEMTOQ6/ref=sr_1_5

Send a message to @KiOgon. John does really tidy work with solderless terminals, so it's also then really quick to install. Lots of people on here would also recommend him!

Anyone wired a Harley Benton MB4 to volume/blend?
MichaelDean replied to iconic's topic in Bass Guitars
I'm sure you could hit up @KiOgon for a loom with volume, blend, and tone with push/pull for parallell/series... -
There has been talk of this bridge becoming the new standard and it being available for retrofit to existing Combustion/NG/D-Rocs. I emailed Bass Direct a while ago to see if I could get on a waiting list. They're saying they've heard nothing from Dingwall so far, or are keeping shtum. I'm hoping for a NAMM release 🤞🤞🤞

Is a new mass-produced bass ever worth more than £1500

Can I hire you to talk to my wife about a new bass? -
I bought myself a cheapy wireless system off AliExpress (Lekato WS-90). It was almost half the price of it on Amazon. I picked it up from the sorting office today after a failed delivery, got to reading the manual and, well, I don't think my bowl of moules mariniere nor my blowtorch have any jack sockets 😅 Still looking forward to trying it out at practice tonight though!

@LowB_FTW yeah, I also bought from a UK seller - Spartan Music. It was about £30/35. Just thought I'd link the main website so people could see the full range! I hope it works for you!

I've been doing some recording using my Boss GX-100 today. Damn it sounds good! I've never been this pleased with my recorded bass tone before. Really wish I had this sort of thing years ago. I'd be very happy using this as my amp-less setup!

NBD: Sandberg Lionel Superlight shortscale

It's fine. There are a lot of big guys playing tiny electric guitars and no-one bats an eye! -
I've got the nickels. I've tried stainless steel a few times on different basses, but I can't get over the rougher texture and I think I just prefer the sound of nickel strings for what I play. I've also tried the Payson flats. Got a used set off here. Nicely made, but I also don't like flats!
-
I like Payson strings on my Dingwall. They do specific sets for different tunings too. They've got a set for G with a .160 guage, seeming in stock at Bass Direct too. https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Dingwall_Accessories.html

My car broke down en-route to a gig and I had to wait for rescue. My stuff got taken to the venue, but I didn't make it until they'd already started playing. I get to the door, the guy says "That'll be X pounds", I say "I'm meant to be on stage" and he hurried me through! I get on stage and find out my band mates hadn't got my in ears out of my gigbag, which was in a room at the other end of the main room, and I felt like I needed to start playing! As we were all in ears, there wasn't any monitor mix, so couldn't hear anything properly, and I was out of time with the guitarist's looping until everyone else kicked in. Terrible gig! I also played a village pub with a mate, me on guitar and him on drums, when we were in 6th form. It was a bit drony and largely improvised. The performance was called "brave" by a friend. Still got paid though!

I've got a neo 212 Bass Fatboy. I think the neo speakers are the only option on their website, I guess becuase the heavier speakers weren't selling. I went over to their Somerset workshop (they're in Cornwall now) to try one out. Love it. Great one cab solution. Plus lots of tolex options. Turns out the guitarist from my new band knows Paul, the owner of Zilla, too. Apparently he has a degree in physics, so does know a thing or two about cab design. I'm sure he'd take on something different than their standard offerings.

Once you've found a size of tip you like, I can recommend buying them a lot cheaper from AliExpress! I've had them from this seller 3 or 4 times now. Just as good as the Comply tips, but a hell of a lot cheaper! https://a.aliexpress.com/_EQ2hbSP -
There's one on Facebook local to me for £200, but open to offers...

I've done a few mods. Some of it is making it feel more like my own bass. Others have been genuine improvements for how I want my instrument to work for me. I recently swapped out the volume for a stacked volume & tone on my Dingwall, which works whether it's in active or passive modes. Really pleased with the outcome. It tames it in a way that the active controls can't. Plus I moved the neck pickup down to the NG2 position, which also makes it sound more how I want it to. I'd also like bridge saddles with a less sharp edge because I'm doing a lot of palm muting with my current band, and the current ones have a very sharp edge. All functional stuff!

How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?

We've not practiced for two weeks now due to one thing or another. I'm itching to get back next week! -

It shouldn't matter which connection type you use. An XLR might be a bit more of a snug/secure fit, but it would be fine either way. The 1/4" only needs to be TRS if the desk out is a balanced one. -
Geezer does have the PJ set in his signature Lakland though.

My most recent strap was a vegan Right On one. Not bought because I'm vegan (I'm not), but because I was curious and it's really nice. A bit grabby at the back, but not as much as a suede strap, so it doesn't pull at my clothing in the same way. Feels like it'll last a long time.

We're a doom metal band called Hora, which is Cornish for "whore". Our first EP is going to be about the Cornish witch trials.

If you keep it, I'd suggest filling the pickup screw hole with a cocktail stick and a bit of glue before refitting a more suitably sized screw. But, with that dent, I'd be looking for more money off or return it.

In order it is: Aslin Dane Epiphone Hohner Fender Squier Sterling By Musicman Dingwall Revelation No duplicates either - only one bass from each brand. I have ambitions to own more. My wallet and wife have different ideas...

Ooooh, I'd like to come along this year. Not been to a bass bash before!

@Skinny it was a commission build. They did some posts on it on their social media! https://www.instagram.com/p/CpKsEbqtg0B
