One right in front of me doesn't have the top sheet secured properly. Looks a bit like it might just fly away!

Reminds me of what we said about the closest villages/all of Swindon when I was growing up!

I'm looking forward to it. I'm getting a taxi at 4:20 tomorrow morning to head to my mates house in Midsomer Norton, so we can leave there by 5, and then I can set the tent up and my wife is coming on Thursday after handing childcare over to the grandparents! Baby free weekend! Not got a lot starred in the app so far. Need to have a proper browse with my breakfast apple juice (cider) after getting set up. Any other basschatters attending?

I know you didn't ask me, but I ordered a set (WS-90) through Ali Express. Took a bit longer to arrive, but it was almost half price of any UK source. Really pleased with them. They have a bit of a longer battery life than the WS-50 too. https://a.aliexpress.com/_EJzjNsV

I think the only thing someone could possibly do would be to set up a direct debit in your name. It happened to Jeremy Clarkson after he printed his bank details in The Times saying it was totally safe! https://www.theguardian.com/money/2008/jan/07/personalfinancenews.scamsandfraud Hopefully things have moved on a bit since 2008, but I wouldn't bet on it! Not saying the average person would do this and it should be fine for most transactions, this is an edge case!

It's so much nicer with the hard edges taken off. Good work!

Epiphone Thunderbird Classic-IV Pro Tuner Replacement

Best bet is to take one off and measure the hole, but I'd imagine they're 14mm. -
Oh God. That sounds just like I want it to. I don't need it. I don't need it. I don't need it. I don't need it....

The Short Scale Bass Appreciation Society!

What strings have you got that sound alright for drop C#? I'd like to try my Mustang in my doom band and we're in drop C, but the D'Addario 45-105 set I've got on at the moment don't quite sound good enough for me. Might be because I'm too used to the definition from my Dingwall though 😅 -
I played in a band where the guitarist would loop stuff live. The click track took a bit of time to get used to at first but it was really useful. I now miss the whole IEM experience. If I could convince everyone in my current band to use in ears I would be sooooo happy. I hate ear plugs, which I do wear, but I feel it takes too much bass out. I'd love to go back to my own personal mix...

Could you print the edges of the modules into a tongue and groove sort of a shape, with little internal tabs you could put a bolt through? You can put a dab of glue in the grooves and tighten it up with some tiny M2 bolts. Then to make it really modular, the end pieces have the corresponding tongue/groove and a hole for a bolt to sit on the outside. Might be too complicated though! I tried doing some 3d modelling once. I did not have a good time...

That's a great result on all accounts! Glad the new basses are working out for you!

What you get up to in your garage is up to you, but I'm assuming that's why the rest of the band didn't want to go back!

Just had an email from Andertons, they're available for pre-order now. https://www.andertons.co.uk/brands/squier/paranormal-series/squier-paranormal-rascal-bass-hh-sherwood-green https://www.andertons.co.uk/brands/squier/paranormal-series/squier-paranormal-rascal-bass-hh-metallic-black @Baloney Balderdash they're 9.5" radius.

I sometimes think about calling my Mustang "Sally" and then I decide that's a silly idea...

Don't suppose it was a silver Korg Toneworks pedal? One of our guitarists uses a multi when his back is playing up (otherwise he has a pedalboard that is heavier than some amps, but that's for another thread!). He recently replaced it with a Valeton GP200 (the red one is cheaper at £265 on Amazon at the moment). It was a real step up in sound quality. You could probably find one second hand in budget and pass it on for the same if it doesn't suit you.

When I got a flight case made up for my Mustang, I traced it onto some wallpaper liner and posted it to them.

It isn't that Apple gear is necessarily better at audio, it's just easier to make an app for iOS. There are only a handful of devices with similar hardware you need to support and Apple do everything they can to make it work nicely between their products to enhance the user experience and lock people into their ecosystem. When developing for Android, there are how many different manufacturers with how many different models with different hardware combinations? Plus custom stuff put on top of the android base OS. I think Google have tried to make it easier over the years, but it is generally harder. Also, Apple users are more likely to pay for an app. That might mean it's easier to attract better talent to make them because there's more incentive to work in that field.

Where is the best place to find a band of session work ?
MichaelDean replied to fiatcoupe432's topic in General Discussion
Other than ones I was part of from the get go, I joined all of my bands by answering or posting ads on Gumtree. I found it to be much better than the other solutions. Plus it's free. My location might help though. There is always something going on in Bristol! -
When I got my GX-100, I similarly set up patches that sounded great in isolation through headphones but turned to mush with the band. Shortly after, we happened to have a couple of practices called off where it was too late to cancel the room, so I spent some time dialing it in with my rig at gig volume. That really helped. I ended up with a LOT more high end content in my signal than I had expected, but it really works in context. If you can, I'd really recommend taking that approach while also keeping in mind the available sonic space.

If I Could Change Two Things About My Band
MichaelDean replied to Bluewine's topic in General Discussion
We're trying to get an EP together before we get gigs. I would much prefer to try to get gigs with a room recording for now while we work on the EP.
