There'd be some overhang with the CTM 100 though. Don't know how @BassAdder60feels about that! I do love a good 212 though. Zilla might make a slightly wider one for you as a custom order. I adore my Bass Fatboy. Plus it's around 25kg.

Could see if a Barefaced 410 or 610 does what you need? The 410 seems to be a bit lighter than one of the Ashdown cabs on its own.

Removing CITES materials from a fretboard inlay.

Doesn't that state that musical instruments made before 1975 with less than 20% ivory are exempt. So, anything made after 1975 is not exempt? -
I hadn't managed to have a band practice with this since I bought it after a couple of weeks of band members having COVID and others away. Tonight was the night! I did managed to use the practice space the last couple of weeks though to work on patches as we'd already paid for the room. What I thought would work well on headphones didn't translate well to through my amp, but it was really useful being able to tinker at full volume, which I never get to do at home. Then tonight, a proper band practice happened and it feels like the perfect solution for me. Really easy to tweak, the display is really clear, lots of switches that I can map to anything, and most importantly, it sounds great. Oh, I want to add in an octave up to thicken it up while the guitarist solos? Bosh - done! Full approval from the rest of the band. Thanks @T-Bay for the lowdown! Need to sell my old pedals now!

I had a set of those Rotosounds on a bass for a while to try out drop C. Not a fan of the feel - very rough. But I do find stainless steel tend to be a bit rougher than nickel. Strings Direct can offer a few alternatives though. https://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/strings-c1/string-sets-c865/bass-guitar-c34#t1355:t944:t1385

As far as I know, you'd need to draw one up or get someone else to. There are a few harder contours on the fiver around the horns and arm contour that I think are a key part of the look too.

I'm loving my GX-100, just saying...

I've genuinely managed to not sell my short scale Jag by saying our daughter might Ike to play 🤣

You can try one out on Thomann's website! It's only an option for a relatively small sample of pedals, but it's a really cool feature. You can even use an audio interface to play through it in real-time or pre-record some audio so you can knob tweak. https://www.thomann.de/gb/stompenberg_fender_dowtown_express_bass_station.html

I've seen those. My only guess was that maybe the bass had been sat a while and they'd gone a bit dead. But Stew, more importantly, shell pink or sea foam green? Maybe you need the jazz in one and the PJ in the other 🤣

I saw that one come up - good score and an excellent price! I wish I could have convinced my wife I needed it, but I think a D-Roc to go with my Combustion would sate my Dingwall needs better.

Another vote for pink!

Well, happy birthday! Now I'm thinking about a custom one of my own. Purple tolex to match my Zilla cab (that went very well with my PF-500), grey face, black text. Or pimp it with a gold faceplate. Maybe for my 40th in a few years...
-
Wow! Was there much additional cost for the custom faceplate?

There is a sub forum for Events, which is just the bass bashes. I think they tend to be regional. Hopefully that'll point you in the right direction. I've not been to one either, so can't help with anything else.

Ok, these state a 20mm bore. https://amzn.eu/d/6mfsLIB

Not that I've used them, but I'd expect this sort of thing might be the ticket. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08MT5CLPP/ref=sspa_mw_detail_1

Creating a monster (lead singer problem)
MichaelDean replied to Mickeyboro's topic in General Discussion
I'd also be in discussions with the rest of the band with a view to oust him. You've said he can'/won't: Turn up to practice (vocal cues can be so helpful when learning a song!) Communicate effectively Show empathy for new/current band mates Work with others to reach a compromise Learn lyrics to songs he's been singing for 30 years What can he do? Sounds like he's already bored of the material, but so stuck in his ways that he won't learn anything new. Is there any positive to having someone like that around? -
That's not as much as I would have thought given the reputation they seem to have!
-
Not like real Ricks are cheap. Does anyone know a ballpark figure for an HW 4003? Obviously could vary with spec.

Sorry didn't meant to be argumentative, I also can't stand KISS or Gene, but I can see why Gibson made that deal. They're probably likely to sell all of those!
-
You say that, but hardcore KISS fans will buy almost anything branded or endorsed by the band - or at least they used to. I remember watching a TV programme years ago where Gene was marketing a KISS kasket (it is apparently still a thing). You wouldn't make that unless you think you'd be able to sell it!

All amp/cab manufacturers: black is boring. Why must EVERYTHING be black all of the time?!? No-one, other than Orange, Zilla and occasionally Aguilar, has fun with colours as standard options.

Blue Aran: Am I just using its basket wrong?
MichaelDean replied to chyc's topic in General Discussion
It's probably something to do with holding stock in limbo in a basket. It might stop other people buying it, or artificially decreasing stock levels on the backend if stuff is just sat there in 10 people's baskets. I'd imagine they've probably got a system that automatically clears your basket after X amount of time. It's a much smaller operation than something like Amazon and the website itself isn't the snazziest. Maybe drop them a line and see if you can get the lowdown on how to best use their site?
