I believe the P-Lyte did n't appear until around 1988/89, so I think it may be from the period of transition from 'Made in Japan' to 'Crafted in Japan' around 1997, right at the end of this models production.
Reason for this is I have a near identical P-Lyte, from 1997 with a V+6 digit serial number. As far as I know, the later P-Lytes were
the only ones to have the darker 'tobacco' sunburst finish and chrome hardwear - earlier models had the lighter 'caramelburst' finish
with gold hardwear. Also the earlier versions all had matching colour headstocks, whilst later ones had just plain.Towards the end of the P-Lyte's run, Fender seemed to use more generic parts - I've seen a few with original neckplates marked 'Made in USA' !
These are still very underated basses IMO, and for me the later ones were the best.

Someone told me that was 1995-96 and then i search it.....I realized that the bass was 10 years back.!!!!!!!and i said wow
The bass is "Made in Japan" and the serial number is A +6 digits

As you said and i had the same thought ....Lyte is 1995 and after but i was wrong.....
