1.
Yeah, it's a good thread.
2.
Can't imagine why you'd find it in a full English though. I'm guessing the "potato scone" is a fairly recent concoction?
Can't remember where I did and did not get them, but I've never been in Ireland and have travelled between Scotland and Cornwall. That said, there must be one or more specialists on BC who can set me straight. b, b
 3.
Is potato bread like a potato scone?
Yes, it can be. Potato bread can take many forms, and as a foreigner I guess the most widely known variant is the slices one gets with full English breakfasts in road restaurants. Tattie scones are within the realm, as are the flat varieties they sell here. Call me ignorant! best, bert
 4.
Oh, sometimes threads that I am watching don't appear in the "my content" part. Some of them randomly disappear for a few days. Don't know if it's a common problem or not, but I thought i'd mention it here, since that's what you're looking for, isn't it?
On that note, there must be a bug in "my content" as it dispatches recent postings spread over several "my content" pages. Depending on circumstances one could even find a very recent post on page 21 of "my content" even when one has chosen to list by last post date. BTW, Milty, threads you're watching can be found in "content I follow" rather than "my content". Sorry. Couldn't resist. Just to add to the statistics, I have not noticed this building up of tension that Kiwi mentions in the OP. May have to do with what I watch and what not. Also, I don't know what "lately" means here. If I have one "complaint", it has nothing to do with the moderation or the general feel and content, which both are great. best, bert
 5. Hey Kevin, Welcome! What can I say. I can't play like you, and will never learn to play like you, but if I could, I'd do it twice as good. Enjoy the banter! best, bert
 6.
ps....saw pics on net of hb and ibanez prometheon(inside amp)...looks identical(components etc)
Looks identical yes. However, IMS, as far as I've read up on this (mainly on BC I suppose), the Ibanez is the only one with a different preamp and the mini jacks on the front, and the Beta Aivin has an extra button or port on the back. best, bert

 8. Hey Andrew, Welcome! Enjoy it, and don't be a stranger. best, bert
 9. I would, but probably not my standard glasses. Elton John Xtra Lite, me.
 10.
It's going on the list of things I refuse to believe, along with God and potato bread outside of Northern Ireland.
Oh man, you're sooo wrong! I don't want to turn this into a religious thread, but I happen to live in the most conservative christian bible belt in Norway, and we have actual evidence of the existence of potato bread outside NI. Just before the weekend, I bought it from my local shop without any special ordering or praying or whatever. So, with an octave down sounding good, and me buying potato bread, I'm sure logic commands there's a god as well. best, bert
 11.
I hope that all of your comments will show up in my future songs
In that case, I have some comments too: "A seasoned witch could call you from the depths of your disgrace And rearrange your liver to the solid mental grace Achieve it all with music that came quickly from afar Then taste the fruit of man recorded losing all against the hour And assessing points to nowhere leading every single one A dewdrop can exalt us like the music of the sun And take away the plain in which we move And choose the course you're running" Be careful though. Some of the other comments make for mediocre lyrics at best, and some are a bit airy fairy treehuggery to be honest. best, bert
 12.
You do realise I'm gonna get your backside for that when you least expect it don't you?
Obviously I don't. best, bert
 13. I really loved reading this. Then you said Ian's a top man. That was a shock to be honest, me always having thought he meant it when he said he's a bottom. Kudos, Col. best, bert
 14. Welcome from just South of the E39. Enjoy your stay! best, bert
 15.
I love the slightly random intro ....... Brilliant
You, sir, are correct. best, bert
 16. That was in seriously bad taste, Wayne. Happily though, I have terrible taste, so I love this. My Bongo 6 is soooo going to be Tangerine Pearl. best, bert
 17.
Very probably
Not probable at all, I think. I think it's more probable that the key word is "guitar". As in: "How sad must one be to choose exactly a guitar?" best, bert
 18. Yup! It's OK, even though Discreet thinks the same. I'm just looking at the Fife contingent. Enjoy! best, bert
 19. Hey Dawg, Welcome, and what Leen said. Can you muster used stuff? Should open up a world of possibilities, as prices are excrutiatingly low right now. That said, as everyone wants lighter gear, it's the heavier stuff that is cheapest. Browse the Amps & Cabs For Sale forum to see. Enjoy! best, bert
 20. Hey Rhys, Welcome! Hope you'll enjoy the exchange of [s]info[/s] banter. best, bert
 21.
pretty likely with the way the Oranges are made, so really, its a 'design feature' and part of the 'Orange tone', because it isn't like those heads aren't expensive enough to be made in a way where that is less of a risk.
(Here, they go for a mere £2K) best, bert
 22. Hey Painy, Welcome! Enjoy this here place. best, bert
 23.
Poor bastard, imagine how bad things must be for him to take to robbing a guitar. I'm sure the shop is insured. I hope he gets away with it.
Bloody fan-tas-tic ! best, bert
