  1. File a complaint! 😁
  2. £ 6,555 now, and 7% to go. Luvverly!
  3. £ 6,460 now, and just 8% left for us to reach the target. Quite OK, innit?
  4. Just 9% of the £7k target to go, folks. We're at £6,404 now.
  5. Sorry, haven't been able to find why one of the Korgs was called lousy. I thought it was about build quality, but don't actually remember, and also can't get it substantiated on other sites. Whilst searching for that, my eye fell on two remarks: - The Mini's "infamous ADSR clicking", which makes building certain sounds harder. - The Mini being able to approach the Mono sound, but not the other way round. Apparently the Mini's unison with sub-octave does a great job. Again: I do not know. I've lusted after some of these after reading reviews, but lack hands-on experience above a few in-shop minutes.
  6. Weird, and I see the irksomeness in this. Might do my head in, might not. I don't know the UDOs and have no idea what parts are analogue and what parts are digital, but in my analogue head, I see this as an LFO output slider rather than two VCO input sliders, which I'd dislike. OTOH a fully flexible output/input matrix too makes one crazy (or me at least), so ... BTW, from hazy memory, every synth I've used has had its quirks - analogue and digital alike - and I recently bought a Sledge for the nth time despite all the known stuff, as I just like it. (Of course, it will almost never allow me to even enter sample mode. 😄)
  7. Not much help, I know, but on a synth forum I just saw one of the Korgs lauded and the other being called lousy, so maybe find out more before the plunge. I'll see if I can re-find what I read, but deemed it best to post right away. I was surprised to not see the Bass Station 2 on your list. People are raving about it. Price, maybe?
  8. Wow! Yeah, I might be willing to guess you're chuffed with that one. Not that I've even seen one IRL, but just from how the UDOs are being talked about. Enjoy!
  9. £ 6,304 now! That's 90%. I don't think the EgoChat folks would do likewise.
  10. £6,135 donated up to now - - 87% of £7K target. Together we can make a change. Well done, BC!
  11. 95% of £6K target reached. Looks good!
  12. Money is still coming in yay bump
  13. Just for the funds record, I too owned an MS-20 that I sold for peanuts. There is a fun bit too though, in that its ownership travel, disregarding caveats in the story, may actually have been like this: Cesar Zuiderwijk (Golden Earring drums) -> yours truly -> Alex Roelofs (The Nits bass) -> Robert Jan Stips (The Nits keys) -> Robert Jan Stips (Golden Earring keys) So there sits Zuiderwijk: "Demn, demn, demn, demn ..." 😁
  14. No need for concern that you might have to thank him. Just curse him safely right away. Synths are fruitful and they multiply and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the bass of the sea and the land.
  15. Nice! Melurves synthporn, me, especially with wooden side panels. I notice what I assume are four output pots on the virtual patch bay, but also two input pots on OSC 1. If correct, does that mean that the machine spawns more "hidden" flexibility necessitating this doubling up? As you can see, I don't know this synth. Admittedly, I haven't studied the panel in great detail, and not Thought This Through Thoroughly either. 😄
  16. Only just now did I realise than my sentence about you and @Clarky discussing this, possibly could be taken as me thinking that you might be a partial driving force in the fundraising process, Idunno. In case: FAR FROM IT! First, I have you down as a "man of honour", and I only thought that Clarky might've asked you whether you could be persuaded to accept more money for Iris' sake, and whether you needed the money now or could also wait. Second, my sentence was more naive than anything else, and also: my English is not as good as some people think it is (please accept this; I know what I'm talking about) and will always be a course approximation of what I try to express. (Yeah, I'm aware that "approximation" has more than two syllab. 😉 )
  17. Wouldn't it be an idea if we were to: - set a much higher goal for the fundraiser? - stretch this thing for more weeks, or start a new fundraiser once this one has had its fortnight? The wetroom extension must be costly, and as said: I believe that more people are in my situation that the next month is better. (Personally, and maybe that's a tip for one or two, for the fundraiser I had to collect unclaimed Co-op membership savings and lottery winnings.) How sayeth those who knowe? Maybe Andy and Clarky have already discussed these things, Idunno. @AndyTravis @Clarky
  18. Also: £ 5,000 now reached! Yay! Well done, folks!
