Normally, this is no problem at all. The lack of a cab just means the output transistors don't have to work. They take a cuppa and thank you for this. However, IMS the few solid state amps with output transformers do need a load. I also think someone on BC recently (the last year) specified something about this with scientific certainty, so you might wanna perform a search for that old thread.

Yes, unless my memory deceives me, the name of the brand does indeed start with an M. Not that it helps much in searches. I've tried.

Somebody on BC knows. I think I remember the logo from a thread two to three years ago, and back then it was solved. I tried searching, but to no avail. Keep up hope though: if enough people see the thread, eventually someone will come along who knows it.

Innersting! I had a hard time finding Norwegian punk other than Wannskrækk (now renamed Dumdum Boys and a lot poppier) as well as a local band I like, even though I know the city of Bergen had an active, reportedly good, punk circle, and I gather so had Oslo. Any name you could share?

Normally, for this I'd propose you test a BH 500 and some TC BC or Ashdown cabs... So my question would be what, if anything, is wrong with what you've already got? Also, have you judged the different sounds you get when connecting one of your cabs only? It might just be you love the sound of one of those, and would just need another one of that same model. Whilst Ashdown's combination of a 115 and 410 has a certain reputation of working well, there is no general rule of any combi of 15s and 10s sounding good, and there are some technical issues that make it at the very least a case of testing before buying. Getting another one of the cab you like, however, by large is risk free. That said, if you do wish for a new set, the first thing we need to know is a budget. I also wonder where you get the 400W number from. You aren't by any chance under the wrong impression that that is twice as loud as 200W? I have to ask, see, as we need to establish what we're talking about here.
