1.
When someone above said "Left-winger Arsehole Numpty!!!!!!!!!!!" I presume they where talking about Wayne Rooney?
(Note though that it was someone's alleged login name, and we can never be sure it was Wayne who alledgedly chose that login name.)
 2.
Sure sometimes their advice is poor or even totally wrong, but others just add the right answer.
This. ...and even: I've seen several people giving that same poor or wrong advice, but stating: "this is probably poor or even totally wrong, but I hope it will spark someone in the know into answering better, coz upto now they've been silent". I liked that to the degree of copying that technique. However, recently it came back like a boomerang a few times when I was the only one who ever responded to honest questions. and I suppose this has to do with forum fatigue in the sense that people of good will have answered the same question too often, and have become fed up.
 3.
Just treat people like you'd want them to treat you.

Effin' bollocks, Stupid 101 Googling Left-Winger Arsehole Numpty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yup! Seems about right.
 4.
I pressed it, nothing happened.
Thats because of the tears in your Lumix! Aha! Busted! Sorry, mate. I don't know the answer to that.
 5. Yes, it is confusing, as EBMM made a mess trying to use known names for as much stuff as possible. Originally, Music Man built Music Man basses. Then Ernie Ball bought Music Man, and so we now talk about EBMM and pre EB. At some point they released a cheaper Ray without make-up, and that is the US built SUB line, which is reported on BC as having fantastic quality. At some point they released an expensive Ray with smaller body, different neck and different sound, a model called Sterling. They still produce these. Later, they started the far East line "Sterling by Music Man", which are cheaper basses - mainly Rays IMS, models are Ray34 and Ray 35, and maybe more models. The last implementation is the S.U.B. line from Sterling by Music Man - AFAIK even cheaper versions of the Sterling by Music Man basses. Models are Ray 4 and Ray 5 So, your question probably is whether the cheaper Sterling by Music Man Ray34 or Ray35 is any good?
 6.
I haven't a clue how to quote.
Just press the Report button like I do. Simples. Seriously doe, dere's a Quote button at duh bottom right of each post.
 7.
I myself asked a simple question the other day and was told to search the f*****g forum as it has already been discussed. No mods were contacted about this scathing attack and no tears were shed upon my Nokia lumia. I just took it as someone having a bad day/attitude/life and skipped merrily along my way.
Aye. I think you thought and acted wisely. I must admit I sometimes feel a DaFS or RtFM coming up, but it never reaches the keyboard. Then I either see whether I can answer, or walk away without a word if the question seems a trifle too lazy.
I like the plural of forum, very good. Sounds a bit like a flower.
Actually, I prefer "forums" for this particular type of Internet based forum, but the "fora" version is so hard-coded in my brain that it sometimes is used without me even knowing.
 8.
Maybe these people should steer clear of forums and ask the opinions of people who know how they react in a safe and friendly non internet based environment. That's just my opinion. Please don't take it personally.
On the contrary, these people should be more tolerated, accepted and included in these fora.
 9.
Not a scouser are you?
Demm! You guys are too quick for me. No, not a scouser, but I've been in Runcorn a few times. Does that count? Of course I just hit the wrong key, and really meant "fallow deer".
 10.
I doubt we agree on too much but I like that you tell 'like it is' and if that makes you more a maverick I think I'd rather have that than a sycophant.. I think there is something to be said for not having a forum too cosy where you daren't or can't say anything that might upset a group or a sphere of influence... If it really needs saying...we need people to say it.. IMO. of course, they are sensitivities but hopefully, we aren't kids and the mods are generally good.... We are either a diverse community with all that entails for good and not so bad...to a degree... or we are a cheerleading group.
Well spoken, JTUK. You already know I fully agree with everything you ever say. I have all your records, and none of the bootlegs, and I love you with roe deer eyes. Seriously though, well spoken indeed. Thisnameistaken, I publicly apologise for having reported you so many times. I honestly tried to hit the quote button! Honest! But they are so illogically placed!
 11.
balanced and fair.
Reminds me of Fox News:
 12. What Paul says. I can't remember ever having seen one of those on a synth, but I guess it's a cool Siel idea that was already present on the original Siel Orchestra. Dunno really, but Siel did have some weird, wonderful little ideas once in a while.
 13. I'm sure you deserved it for stamina alone, even before the rest of your abilities. Congrats!
 14. Very, very good. Applause!!!
 15. Henry, you won't meet Kev at the Bass Camp. He still thinks it's gonna be in Leamington... ( This should've been in the Terribly Bad Jokes thread. Aplogies. )
 16.
Methinks he doth protest too much ...
I can't make out if you jest or are serious, but sincerely hope you jest.
 17.
The prettiest is the Music Man 3-1.
Of course you had to ruin a perfectly nice thread with your negativity!
 18.
Blimmy, you have trimmed that back a bit with that edit (since last nights original post).
Yes, I have. It's not that I do not agree with myself, but that I found it might open a new, different can of worms - which was not my intention. Also, I've said it before, and will probably say it again later in more fitting threads. To the curious: don't let your curiosity fool you into thinking it was a lot more juicy than it was in reality.
 19.
You can analyse forum etiquette and psychology but just remember you have probably, just like the person you are engaging with deliberately chosen to adopt a pseudonym so that you remain completely anonymous. You just can't apply or expect normal social etiquette when both parties have deliberately chosen not to be identified.
I feel that many active ones on here are not anonymous, and especially not completely anonymous. They have exchanged goods and postal addresses, have feedbacks with names, are members of bands they link to, have met each other at bass bashes ... I also feel it's perfectly viable to apply normal social etiquette oneself, but it would indeed be wise to not expect the same back on a forum where basically anyone can become a member. That notion however would not hold me back from mentioning that better behaviour might be nice to have. BTW, if per chance you're speaking directly to me, I've been open as to who I am for two years, but have recently tried to reduce the amount of text that follows each post to its left and bottom. I assume I'm not anonymous.
 20. AFAIK, if done carefully, this should work in some or many cases. The synth wouldn't be hurt if you do it wrongly; the effect pedal might be hurt. There's lot of pedal effects still in existence that expect a passive pickup signal, and have the sensitivity and input impedance to fit. Many would even expect the low level of a guitar signal, and even the amplitude of a bass signal might be overdoing things, let alone amplitude heavy line level signals from synths. Shoving the synth signal through them at super low volume will make it work, but will probably sound terrible, amongst other things probably due to impedance mismatch. That said, it is exactly what I did through the seventies, and I still am alive, I believe. More and more effects however are built to take a line level signal, especially rack mounted ones. The effect itself on a synth sound however is a different matter. A chorus is one thing, but a fuzz? You'd probably need to find the right (less overtone rich) synth sounds to fit it.
 21. Don't you think the guy has had enough of this, WoT? To me, he did not seem overtly enthousiastic, I'm sorry to say.
 22.
Nope, not this time.
Demmit! I'm always wrong.
 23. I'm old enough to have experience, and all experience teaches that the moment you have used your money on a Thumb, a Dolphin will turn up and you will fail in selling the Thumb in time. Do not protest this. It is how God created the world, and how He Wants It To Be. Yes, I hate God. Could've had an ARP 2600 synth for 400 quid, but was stuck with that ghastly MS-20.
 24.
$700 can buy a lot of head!
Having been married to AltoTractor for over 30 years, I can confirm this statement is not true.
